Poll: Favorite Scene from Grimm - 2.13 - Face Off

Mar 9, 2013

Woo hoo! After an interminable hellatus, Grimm is back. While much of this episode was fast forward worthy, it was definitely a game changer and we can see the end of the hideous Juliette/Renard subplot. Here's to the potion giving us all amnesia about it. Plus Renard being a royal and knowing about Nick's role as the Grimm is finally out too. Now we can concentrate on what's happening with the royals and why the key is so important. I cannot wait until next Friday to find some answers.

While Grimm was on hiatus, SpoilerTV started posting favorite scene polls for certain shows. 24-48 hours after each new Grimm episode, I will put the poll up. Hope you join me in discussing your favorite scenes. I try to limit the poll to 10-12 choices so if your favorite is not included, please leave a comment. Also if there are polls, contests, articles, or discussion points you would like brought up please let me know. I would love to do more with Grimm here on SpoilerTV now and through the summer hellatus. Thanks in advance for your great ideas.

  1. I am torn. I loved the opening scene with Monroe trying to keep Nick from doing something stupid. Their friendship has grown so much and it's a highlight of the show for me. This scene is a great example. I also adored Monroe meeting Rosalie at the bus station. This is the only romance on Grimm that doesn't annoy me and I am always up for seeing either of them on my TV screen more. The scene between Nick and Renard was also powerful. I love that we are getting some answers now. It's been 1.5 seasons so it's about time. I think things are going to move faster now. I also love how Renard gave Nick back the key. Still not sure I trust him 100%; he has his own agenda.

My least favorite scenes - everything between Renard and Juliette and the fact that Adalind is pregnant. These seemed like horrible soap opera scenes instead of genre show I love.

  2. Two scenes for me - Adalind looking like she expects something to jump out at her as she leaves the station and the confrontation between Nick and Renard.

  3. Absolute favorite scene: There's a knock on the door. Juliette opens it and there stands Renard. And Nick. Oh, the look on her face seeing her two lovers together.

Everyone found out that Adalind is pregnant except me. Darned$%&#@^ DVR cut the ending. I'll have to watch it again on OnDemand.

I didn't like that the two "big fights," so hyped, were nothing much.

Did like Nick telling Juliette he knows who "he" is. This plot has been at a standstill for so long, glad it's finally moving.

  4. I liked the opening scene with Nick and Monroe, the bus station scene, and Nick's fight with Renard.

  5. I love Nick and Monroe's friendship too, and Monroe/Rosalee.

  6. I love the way Juliette said, "Now what?" when she saw both Renard and Nick. It was all in the delivery. I agree that the forward plot movement was needed; it was the best part of the episode.

  7. Those were my top 3 also. They were strong character scenes.

  8. That first scene was really well acted. I knew Renard was going to be waiting for her but it still made me jump because her nervousness got to me.

  9. I am so glad Rosalee is back. I missed her those last few episodes. Plus Monroe is by far my favorite character so anyone who adds to his screen time is good by me.

  10. Pick a favourite? Are you kidding me? Probably when Renard gives Nick back the Key. Just knowing they really are allied now and knowing what that will mean for the story!!! So excited. Of course a close second was the look on Monroes face as Rosalee steps off the bus. Third, when Nick says, "Does everything always end in death", and the response. So cute :)

  11. As I rewatched the episode I did a list of my favorite quotes. Nick's, "Does anything NOT end in
death." is my favorite, followed closely by Renard: "Believe me, nobody wants this thing between Juliette to end more than I do." My Twitter response was that I wanted it just as much as he did if not more. My third favorite quote came from the always snarky Wu. Wu: "If these
dead guys are all members of the same lodge, it's not one I want to belong
    to."

  12. Ha, couldn't agree more.

  13. I loved Monroe's expression too when Rosalee got off the bus. I could tell with just that look that he really, really, really loves her. :D

  14. Those were fav quotes of mine too.

  15. Definitely agree on the last part.

  16. i must add the scene where Adaling finds out she's pregnant

  17. I'm hoping that next week finally ends the terrible Juliette/Renard obsession and idiotic Juliette amnesia subplots. They were both not necessary and rough to get through because they dragged it out so long. Here's hoping the Adalind stuff doesn't become a "second verse same as the first" situation.

  18. That was on my original list but I cut it to get the list down to a more reasonable number. It definitely could be another game changer.

  19. It was very touching and a great contrast to the other couples in the episode. Here's hoping they are the only romance on this show for a good long while.

  20. Can't believe that was not a choice~~~

  21. No poll is ever going to please everyone. That's why you always have the option to vote Other. Originally my list was over 20 scenes long. That is far too much for a poll so I narrow things down to 10-12 items so the list is more manageable even if it means that sometimes people's favorite scenes don't make the final list.

  22. I loved how they have resumed things with a bang!

  23. I liked when juilette fires weapon around renard.she was clear that she wants to end this infutation.I am hoping they end this obsession/triangle subplot permanantly.this is genre show we don't need triangle to watch Grimm.but it seems they will drag nickamnesia till end of season.I hope they don't invent residual feelings about obsession to drag triangle.

  24. "Who killed her?"

    "My mother."

    "Whyyyyyyy..."

Love the way Monroe delivered that line.

    ReplyDelete
  25. How could you not list the final scene in the poll? :/

    ReplyDelete
  26. Because there are over 30 scenes in the episode. That is far too many so I have to cut some scenes out. Inevitably that will mean that someone's favorite scene will not be listed. That is why I ALWAYS put in an Other option so people can choose it if their favorite scene is not in it.

  27. I was excited to see so much forward movement in one episode. It bodes well for the rest of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I have high hopes that this will be the end of the dreaded love triangle and that Juliette will immediately get her memory back. If there needs to be fallout, I hope it is over the revelation that Nick is the Grimm and Wesen exist.

    ReplyDelete
  29. That one is on my list of favorite quotes from the episode too. You are right. It was all in the delivery.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Not everyone thinks that the Renard/Juliette subplot was hideous. You don't need to antagonize your readers by having those kinds of comments in this specific kind of post. By all means write your opinion of the episode in an editorial/opinion/review/comments etc, but can we keep it out of the polls, please?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I am happy to hear that you liked the Renard/Juliette subplot. The response I have seen online has been overwhelmingly negative. I did not mean to antagonize anyone with my comments. For this one I specifically made comments because it was the first one we have had for Grimm. I tend to do less comments on the favorite scene polls since they are a weekly feature. However when I do specialty polls or if I start a favorite quotes weekly poll I will include my opinions in the posts. I am sorry if this upsets you but you can always ignore everything except for the actual poll.

  32. that was the cutest why ever *_*

  33. i dont think juilette will remember suddenly,i think obsession will be cured immediatly but nickamnesia will be dragged till end of the season or at least 5-6 episodes more.bitsie said everything is gonna get worse before it gets better.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I love the scene of Nick and Monroe in the Spice Shop and Monroe practically lets out a whine of "Why?" When he figures out that Nick's mom killed Catherine Schade.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I also like the way Giuntoli delivered the "My mother" line. He's known her for such a short time and already she embarrasses him.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh I hope not. Amnesia has never helped a TV plot line.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Monroe kills on the delivery. That's one of the reasons why I like this character so much. I also loved how he delivered the line about quadruple homicide being a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't like like it,too.according to some recent scoops it seems they will drag also triangle which I hate to see in Grimm.possibly they will leave some residual feelings on characters after obsession.this is really stupid.
