  1. Now Henry's calling Regina his mom again. If only he had thought to do that a little earlier things wouldn't have come this far!

  2. Henry, the voice of reason. Regina doesn't need that curse. Henry already loves her, probably just not in the #1 spot like she wants.

  3. I am really happy now. I was thinking that Henry didn't care about the woman who raised him anymore. After all, SHE is his mother !

  4. Being called "Mom" wasn't going to erase Regina's rampant insecurities or her tendency toward self destructive behavior. Self improvement and better decision making are much more likely to have prevented this escalation.

  5. Henry will go back to Regina, which will somewhat stop the feud. After all, Snow is his grandma.

  6. 1) I can't believe this is a sneak peek.

    2) This show has officially reached Greek-tragedy-level of drama with regard to Regina. I hope the writers are finally going somewhere with this because right now the only moral of her story is that it doesn't make a difference if she does good or evil, she is just doomed to suffer. And then suffer more.

    3) Henry. Don't even get me started... Because if I start analysing the character, this will easily turn into a five page essay. In short: when will he become an actual character with consistent behaviour, instead of a plot device? :/

  7. I agree, and i'm not saying that is all his fault, but just being a kid does not mean he is innocent.

  8. Good Job Henry! Its about time that he acknowlage that she is his Mom too. She did raise him!!

  9. I never said it was his fault. I just think Regina wouldn't have been as vulnerable to Cora's manipulations if she had been sure Henry loved her and still considered her his mom. In consequence things would have turned out differently...

  10. Henry saying "Regina" and "Mum" in the space of 2 minutes..

  11. Well, it might be nice to show her he loves her every once in a while and not run off to Manhattan without even letting her know, or not apologizing for thinking she had killed someone...

Anyway, I think the problem with Henry and Regina is the way they're approaching the situation. They make him do whatever is convenient for plot development when it comes to him expressing his love for her and it's getting on my nerves. I'm not saying the kid can't have conflicting feelings (c'mon, just look at that family tree), but it's still possible to have him be consistent even while conflicted. And that's not what I see happening.

  12. Okay now peeps, Henry has does have 2 mothers. The show runners have said from jump that she (Regina) is his mother, but she's also the Evil Queen. Emphasis on "Evil". There's no doubt that she loves Henry & Henry loves her, but would you want your child living with that hot mess 24/7?? Probably not! The only agenda she cares about is her own, which doesn't have her child's best interest at heart. No one is saying that Regina isn't his mom, but come on. How many times has she tried to kill Mary Margaret, David & even Emma?? Not to mention the numerous unknown people that have been hurt while crossing her path. For all of you Evil Regals just wait - I'm sure in season 3 Henry will go back to Regina's home. All of us fans have caused a fierce debate about biological families vs adoptive families & there's no way they (Adam & Eddie) won't address it sooner or later.

Side bar: That kid has waaaay too many people to answer to. 3 parents and 3 grandparents + Archie??

  13. So what? The Charming are/were drugging Belle and that guy in the hospital. They even considered killing him. David is an hypocrite. When he needed Regina at the beginning of the season for Henry, he wasn't doing all that mess. Snow did something I have yet seen Regina do : using someone's love for her mother to kill her. I'm not a pro Regina or a pro Charmings but NOBODY on this show is perfect. Snow killed her grandson's grandmother. I have seen better from a grandma just like I have seen better than both Regina and Emma as a mum.

  14. I don't think so ! It's like if we ask you if you prefer your mom or your dad !

  15. My mom? Now she is your mom. I can't keep up with how often that changes.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'll always choose my mom over my dad.

  17. But everyone doesn't think the same thing ! You have your life and your choices...
Henry has two moms ! Both loves him and he believes in Regina... This is not a question of who he loves the most ! It doesn't represent the values and ideals of this show !

  18. Regina knows that Henry was the one who made sure that Emma, David and Snow saved her from the mob, Henry ever called Regina "mom" in her presence and he often hugged her. What did Regina expected? That he goes on his knees and tells to her that he loves her more then his own live and that he never will love another person? Regina has to know that Henry loves her but that she' s not the only person he loves.

  19. Aladdin came to my head right away also:)

  20. Oh, come on. She went into hiding. Most of them do not in fact know about her hideout Did you happen to miss the part where they were talking about how they had done something wrong, that they needed to talk to her? Maybe watching The Outsider again would help jog your memory. Also, if a man threatened to kill my family, the last thing I'd be worried about is if Regina is feeling bad.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Most of them don't, but Charming and Henry both do know about the crypt (and apparently so does Snow, because she went straight there to find Cora's heart).

Regardless of that, even if we consider every single one of the Charmings did everything right regarding Regina, I still don't believe they have been dealing with the Henry situation consistently. And not because he has doubts about her - that is what is normal -, but because in one single scene he goes from protecting her to hating her guts, wanting to keep her away at any cost to carrying about her, and so on.

I'm not saying Regina is a saint, I'm also not saying she should immediately be forgiven by the kid, I'm just saying I don't think they are approaching their relationship the best way possible.

  22. I hope they bring Rose Mcgowan back. She was amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Mary Margaret did say they tried to find Regina but couldn't.

Of course Henry is conflicted -- the woman he considered his mother and cared about even though he had problems with her, is now considering casting a spell on him to manipulate him and killing his grandmother who he also cares about.

The only person who can change the situation now is Regina, by putting her own feelings aside for Henry's and doing what is best for him. However, that would have nearly the drama this way does .....

  24. I'm really tired of the Regain pity party train. Yes, she was raised by a psycho mother and she has a lot of problems. But unless she straightens herself out (and only she can do that, not Emma or Charming or Mary Margaret), she's going to make Henry just as crazy as she is.

Just imagine Henry some years down the road, realizing that Regina put a spell on him to love her and in so doing killed his grandmother. He's never going to forgive her. And that will be all on Regina, not anyone else.

  25. As I said, I agree with you: Henry being conflicted is not a problem, it is to be expected. However, I don't think they are consistent when dealing with his character. Conflicted and consistent are not mutually exclusive, IMO.

It has nothing to do with what Regina did and whether she is evil or not. She is trying to kill MM, she did lie to him, etc., but that doesn't make it ok to use Henry's feelings and reactions as plot device, twisting the kid to whichever direction they need in order for the story to move forward.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well then, he should never forgive his bio grandma Snow to have killed his adoptive grandmother Cora.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Considering that his "adoptive grandmother" was pretty much the most evil person in two worlds and was hell bent on destroying his biological family. I think Henry will be perfectly fine with her disposal.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I know some writers who'd need a Good Plot Potion. Or a Good Character Development Potion. Or both.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Murder is murder no matter how you twist it. If killing everyone evil was the right thing to do, we'd have a lottttttt of problems in the world don't you think?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Self defense is self defense, Cora was minutes away from wiping the entire Charming clan away.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah because his grandfather is so much better. Whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  32. So tricking someone into killing her own mother to save someone as evil as the person to die is self defense?
Now I have read everything here.

    ReplyDelete
  33. You should keep reading if you think Cora would have stopped at just killing Rumple. He was just a means to an end, the real aim for Cora was the Charmings due to Regina's wishes.
