Dermot Mulroney is set to make his return to Fox's New Girl.

Mulroney will reprise his role as Russell, Jess' (Zooey Deschanel) ex, in an episode of the Fox hit sitcom set to air in April. The episode's title? "First Date."

  5. So...I've read the sides, and won't
    spoil much but say - Mr.Fancy Man is on a date with someone else when
    they see him (Brandy, who is not the brightest girl) & def. not an
    issue at all for Nick/Jess. He's actually glad that they're "finally
    happening." To which the pair proceed to argue that "nothing is
    happening!" and "I didn't know it was happening because no one told me
    it was happening! So, if a happening happens - and you didn't know it
    was happening, did it happen?" ...Oh, those two.<3
