Some three months after killing off Ziva’s father Eli David (played by Michael Nouri), CBS’ NCIS will introduce viewers to his replacement — to be played by Star Trek: TNG alum Marina Sirtis, TVLine has learned exclusively.
“The search to replace Eli David as Mossad Director was tricky for us, but we ended up with a true find in Marina Sirtis,” showrunner Gary Glasberg says of the casting. “I’ve always been a Star Trek fan, but Marina really owns this part. And the cast loves her. She’s everything I wanted for the role and then some. We are lucky to have her.” Sirtis will first air sometime in April.

That actually sounds pretty awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is such great news for us Marina fans! She is amazing and will be great to watch on NCIS!
ReplyDeleteI hope they make her character as different from Eli David as possible. Nouri did such a good job as David that creating a new character that's in any way comparable to his would be a losing proposition.
ReplyDeleteSqueee! I'm so happy! Can't wait to see her in the role.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic news! I cannot wait for this episode to air and I'm really hoping she'll be back for the next season.
ReplyDeleteOh man! I can't wait to see this! :D
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen her since TNG.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Thou I do hope they bring her back in a recurring role, just as Eli.
ReplyDeleteTotally unexpected, but welcome, news! I've liked her since TNG. She did a great job as a Middle-Eastern lady on Grey's Anatomy & The Closer (both are shows I watched)...almost unrecognizable, but still a great performance. I don't watch NCIS regularly, but I'll tune in for her episode(s).
