The poster above reads "this Spring", that is not true, this isn't an official poster, sorry.
Here's what the Michigan Film Office published 4 weeks ago :
The Michigan Film Office announced today that AMC’s original scripted drama series Low Winter Sun has been approved for a film incentive from the state. Set in Detroit, the series starts with a crime that will alter a detective’s life forever. The pilot for the series was filmed in Detroit in September. Filming on the 9 additional episodes is expected to begin in Detroit this spring and run through the end of summer.
Low Winter Sun is a co-production between Endemol Studios and AMC Studios. Chris Mundy wrote the pilot and serves as show runner and executive producer. Cast includes Mark Strong and Lennie James.
"We are thrilled that Low Winter Sun is bringing this series to Michigan after a successful pilot shoot in Detroit last year", said Margaret O’Riley, Director of the Michigan Film Office. "As a high profile television series, this project will provide significant opportunities for our crew, talent and support services. It also sends a strong signal about the quality of projects we are attracting to Michigan".
The project was awarded an incentive of $7,544,611 and expects to hire 245 Michigan workers with a full time equivalent of 148 jobs.

If this is half as good as Breaking Bad, I'm watching.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe it's this soon, I was expecting late summer or something.
The Breaking Bad date is not official yet, right?
ReplyDeleteAlso, what about The Killing Season 3?
Yeah, me too. It's also a bit weird that they haven't promoted it at all up until now.
ReplyDeletei don't think it's official poster. it shows up 3 or 4 months ago.
ReplyDeleteCannot wait for this! I hope its good,i've been so disappointed with this season except for The Following, Revolution and Elementary....
ReplyDeleteMark Strong weekly on my TV? I'm in.
ReplyDeleteBunk, they're in production on this now?
I haven't been following it as closely as I should have.....
I know many people want Strong to be on Thrones (in various roles) and I'm trying to figure out if this project makes him unavailable for GOT in all likelihood..... Pre-production on GOT is sometime around May with filming in July to November if I recall....Of course each location films for a much shorter time so each role has a much shorter schedule.
Sorry about the false joy, it's not going to start airing this Spring. I assumed it would because the poster said so, and it passed as official to me although the description of Mark Strong's character was suspicious. Some intelligent people just like to write false premiere dates on fake posters, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI had no other source. sorry. Turns out, filming of episodes 1.02 to 1.10 is starting nowadays and will run for 5-6 months until September, so I think it won't start airing until October at best (paired with The Walking Dead season 4 ?).
