    Hello, Babar.

    I have a question for you.

    My friend have a weird theory that the mother is dead in 2030, and that's why he's so sad, and want to be in those 45 days with her.

    I don't think it's true.

    What's your opinion? And is there any evidence in the show that the mother is still alive in 2030?

    Fans are pretty divided on that. After the recent episode, many people have started thinking that the mother is dead, while others think that that would be a very sad ending for a comedy.


    I thought that the mother being dead in 2030 was a possibility. That would make a good premise for the show; Ted telling the kids the story because the mother is dead. But after the recent episode, I think that that's more of a possibility now. But even if she isn't dead, I'd be pretty happy with that.


    I don't recall any evidence being given that the mother is 100% alive in 2030.

    I really think that the mother is dead because the way ted was telling her that i love you and i will always love you, till the end of my days and beyond..... The way he wanted those 45 days with her even she has no idea who he is, that really breaks my heart!!!!

    Oh and apart from the seriousness, did anyone saw the wedding ring on barney's finger when present barney tells future barney that my skin looks great even after 20 years and then the future barney raises his hand with the wedding ring on!!!
