How I Met Your Mother - Episode 8.24 - Something New - Casey Wilson and Keegan-Michael Key to guest

We don't know if there will be a happy ending in the season finale of How I Met Your Mother, but there will be a cast member of Happy Endings in said finale.

Vulture has learned that Casey Wilson (Penny!) and Key and Peele's Keegan-Michael Key will appear in the last episode of HIMYM's eighth season, airing in just a little over 45 days (May 13, to be exact).

Our sources say Saturday night sketch comedy alumni Key (MADtv) and Wilson (SNL) will guest-star as a couple having dinner at the same restaurant as Robin and Barney.

Could either or both characters have any impact on the pending Stinson-Scherbatsky nuptials? Will Wilson end up being Ted's musically inclined future bride? Are we just throwing out random questions to which we don't know the answer as a distraction to cover up the fact that we know hardly anything about why Wilson and Key are on the show? The answer to all three questions: maybe!

Vulture.

Yes, what if the great Casey Wilson is She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named ? Given how ABC is treating Happy Endings, it'd make sense if Casey Wilson would like to find a new recurring gig, and what a gig it would be.

  2. And this Casey Wilson won't be the mother. It says she and the guy are guesting as a couple.

  3. I really hope casey wilson is not the mother i can't think of a worse actor to play the mother. after all these years of watching the show it would really suck to have such a disappointing actor revealed as the mother. The mother is supposed to be in college and younger that ted, casey looks way older than ted like close to 40.

  4. A bit harsh on Wilson, but kinda yeah, she is a bit old to be the mother.

  5. Casey doesn't fit the physical portrait of the mother. We have seen her front, back, just not her face. She is thin, and as Barney would say, 'Casey fat'.

  6. Babar, I have to ask you something about the show.

Does we know from the show, that the mother will be blonde? Is there any proof of that in any episode?

And one more, is the mother already casted? (someone told me she was already casted in season 5...)

  7. I am flattered that you thought about asking me.

Actually, most people think that the mother won't be blonde. In one episode, Future Ted imagines what would have happened if he and Stella had gotten married, and both the kids are shown to be blonde, unlike Ted's actual kids who are both brunettes.

In a interview not so long ago, the execs were asked if the mother had been cast, and they said that they are not going to say whether she has been cast or not. Throughout Season 8, Jennifer Birmingham has been used to play the mother, and has been credited as "Woman". Some people believe that maybe she will play the mother, when her character is revealed to the public.

    Hope that answers your questions.

  8. Thanks for the answer.

I asked you because I think that you are the one to ask about everything related to HIMYM.

About the answer, I think the mother won't be blonde, because of the Stella kids'. What you are saying I said to my friends to.

But now I have another question for you. Are the producers, in any interview, ever said that we will meet the mother in the end of season 8? I think they didn't, but my friend sure they do. You remember someting like that?

Another question. the 7th slap. The clock online changed recently. When it was changed? And do you know if it's the producers clock, or it's not that offical?

And, BTW, HIMYM wiki is the place when I go to look for any information about the episodes.
