Syfy has finalized a 13-episode straight-to-series order to Helix, a dark thriller from Ronald D. Moore, marking Battlestar Galactica developer/executive producer’s return to the network. Steven Maeda (Lost, CSI: Miami) has come on board as showrunner of the project, written by Cameron Porsandeh.

  2. Oh, just might? I will, most definitely! I have this hole left by a show that isn't on anymore..any guess what show that could be???? Ha! :)

  3. It won't last. As we all know, Syfy hates Sci-Fi.

  4. Yeah! So happy to hear this. As much as I love Battlestar, I'm glad to see Moore working on new projects.

  5. I don't see how this could make it as a series anyway. I can't foresee a 4-5 season series about trying to prevent an outbreak. Seems more suited to a film than a tv series.

SyFy will probably break my heart again like that thing with Alphas on this one. So I'll wait after 3rd season or something.

  8. Well Battlestar Galactica is one of the greatest series ever so I'd be happy to check out Ron Moore's next project :D

  10. Well maybe the13 episodes are self contained and it could work as a mini series of sorts, with he second section being what happens after the outbreak...?
    (I'm just spitballing here...)
