One week after broadcasting Continuum‘s freshman finale Stateside, Syfy has picked up Season 2 of the Canadian-produced, Rachel Nichols-fronted sci-fi series.
TVLine can also exclusively report that the aforementioned 13-episode second season will premiere on Syfy June 7 — in a new time slot, Fridays at 10/9c.

Fridays at 10p? In June? Are you sure you want to do that SyFy?
ReplyDeleteWhy not? It's working so well for Sanctuary... oh. Nevermind.
ReplyDeleteActually scifi shows used to thrive there, when they still aired Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica on fridays.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah with the current Syfy programming, setting this after a wrestling show it's gonna fail. Luckily continuum is a canadian production not a syfy one. :)
Friday nights worked, when it was actual "Sci-Fi Friday" with a full block of sci-fi programming. Now it's just a bunch of fiction (aka Wrestling) on Friday nights.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they're renewing it....it's a great show, but Friday really isn't going to help with the ratings
ReplyDeleteOh, the good old days. I miss those. There is barely any sci-fi on tv now. :(
ReplyDeleteYeah and actually they start airing new episodes on Showcase at the end of April, right? I think I'll just be live streaming and skip right over SyFy.
ReplyDeleteThe renewal of Continuum or a second season is great news. The time doesn't matter since I PVR everything anyway. In honor of the renewal, Amazon has a discounted price on "Continuum: The Complete First Season" Check it out! http://www.geekdealhq.com/?p=13376
ReplyDeleteYep, April 21 will mark the season 2 premier in Canada. :)
