Alicia Florrick (The Good Wife) - the scenes of her and Grace/Zach are equally endearing and realistic (and remind me very much of my own relationship with my mother). I loved Fran Fine (The Nanny) as a mother-figure, technically she became an adoptive mother towards the end of the show.
Notable mention: Regina Mills (Once Upon A Time) - I know she's hardly an exemplary mother, but the way Lana Parrilla plays up that maternal side of the character is the reason why I've loved her since the pilot. :)
Lorelai Gilmore (Gilmore Girls) Mary Margaret Blanchard/Snow White (OUAT) Piper Halliwell (Charmed) Mary Cooper (TBBT) Tara Gregson (United States of Tara) Diana Skouris (The 4400)
Personally I like the best TV Mom was Mrs. Robinson from Lost in Space. She was not only a typical mother of teenagers. She was also handy with a laser rifle!
Lorelai Gilmore, Emily Gilmore, Kristina Braverman, Julia Braverman-Graham, Camille Braverman, Jasmine Braverman, Sarah Braverman, Mary Margaret/Snow White, Emma Swan, Regina Mills, Lily Aldrin, Kathryn Kennish, Fanny (on Bunheads - can't remember their last name), Rayna James, Dallas Royce, Pam Halpert, Mrs. Walowitz, Jo Danville, Reba Gallagher. (as you can see, I can't pick specific favorites.)
Also, Mrs. Gellar, Ross and Monica's mom. The few times we saw her were always so fun. One line that I can't seem to forget: "You can kick anyone's ass you want to." And Martha Kent from "Smallville."
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Peggy Bundy & Lorelai Gilmore. :)
ReplyDeleteVoted for Vivian Banks. But my favorite TV Mom is Lorelai Gilmore. I really loved the mother-daughter relationship on the Gilmore Girls.
ReplyDeleteVoted Jill Taylor from Home Improvement
