Scene Of The Week - February 3, 2013 - *POLL*

Week 9! Thanks so much for all your contribution! Really glad you like the idea of the poll!
My choices this week are:

1. Show: PERSON OF INTEREST

Episode: "Dead Reckoning"
Date: January 31, 2013
Actors: Michael Emerson, Jim Caviezel
The Scene: Finch and Reese on the roof.

This show! If you’re not watching it, you’re missing out something really remarkable! What could easily become just one more procedural show (not that I don’t like them, cause I do!) is one of the most unpredictable, full of twists and turns, action-packed, character driven, brilliantly written and complex series out there. This episode proves that again! It’s really hard to pick just one scene but I’m going with Finch saving Reese’s life on the roof. I absolutely love the relationship between these two! John trying to convince everyone to get away from him, so that nobody else got hurt and Harold, determined but really terrified, deciding to stay with him and save his life. It was emotional, gripping and even funny for a moment. Like always, dialogues are amazing, and so are Jim and Michael. Well done, everyone!
Also, I have to mention a small Bear and John scene later, which is just such a lovely moment of happiness for the guys. Go team! Can’t wait what’s next.
Quote:
“I have built the most complex computer systems in existence. I can certainly unlock a phone.” Finch

NOTE: This scene was also picked by Sharon Seymour and Jimmy Ryan as Scene Of the Week!
The first of two scenes that took my breath away was when Harold was trying to disarm Reese's bomb vest. For once, we didn't have 1 second left on the clock, more like 7 if my memory is correct. But that scene was a testament to how close these two have become despite still holding many secrets from each other. Jimmy Ryan

2. Show: SUPERNATURAL
Episode: “As Time Goes By”
Date: January 30, 2013
Actors: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Gil McKinney
The Scene: Dean and Henry saving Sam, Henry’s death

It feels like the show is back on track. Hopefully, it’s gonna stay like this, because this was definitely my favorite episode of the season! After last week’s really great one, things got even better with the introduction of the new amazing character, Henry Winchester. True, he wasn’t the nicest person and he judged boys very fast after learning that they’re hunters (“Hunters are apes”), but he certainly seems like the complete opposite of one of my least favorite characters on the show, Samuel Campbell, Dean and Sam’s other grandfather. And we can see it very clearly in this scene.
After finding out what happened with his son, his legacy, Henry desperately wanted to go back and fix everything. He’s a Winchester! But seeing how much Dean was worried about his brother and how much he needed to rescue him, he decided to stay and help, and sacrificed his life to save Sam’s. Henry and Dean together defeated Abaddon and in the very emotional scene he managed to say goodbye to his grandsons, realizing that seeing them made him very proud of his beloved son and died with the confidence that as long as his family is alive there’s always hope.
Also I loved every scene when Dean had his father’s back! It felt like in the good old days, before John suddenly became a VERY criticized character on the show. Always got angry when it happened.
Quote:
“You’re also Winchesters. As long as we’re alive there’s always hope. I didn’t know my son as a man, but having met you two, I know I would have been proud of him” Henry

NOTE: This scene was also picked by klutzy girl as Scene Of the Week!

NCIS: Los Angeles, “The Chosen One”, January 29, 2013

Person Of Interest, "Dead Reckoning", January 31, 2013
Actors: Michael Kelly, Annie Parisse
The Scene:

Snow blows up Kara unexpectedly at the end.

NOTE: This scene was also picked by Jimmy Ryan as Scene Of the Week!
Snow made the ultimate sacrifice to eliminate Stanton after Reese talked him into it. That was a twist I don't think anyone saw coming. But I'm pretty sure Snow and Stanton will remain dead, and be good at it as well, but nothing is ever what it seems with this show.

The Americans, “Pilot”, January 30, 2013

Elizabeth and Philip dispose the body then have sex.
Elizabeth and Philip argue about defecting to the USA.

Actors: Natalie Zea, James Purefoy, Kevin Bacon, Valorie Curry
The Scenes:

Ryan gets attacked whilst looking around the safe house by the man in the mask. It actually made me jump.
Denise kills her mom.

3. FROM JAMIE COUDEVILLE

The Lying Game, “A Kiss Before Lying”, January 29, 2013
Actors: Allie Gonino, Alexandra Chando
The Scene:

Laurel sees Sutton right after speaking to Emma on the phone. Just the look on her face was priceless, won't be long 'till she figures it out.

New Girl, “Cooler”, January 29, 2013
Actors: Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson
The Scene:

Nick & Jess kiss - A lot of people (including me) have been waiting a long time for this, and I have to say that it was even better than I had expected.

The Vampire Diaries, “A View to a Kill”, January 31, 2013
Actors: Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder
The Scene:

Elena hugs Damon - It's small, but when it comes to these two, even the small gestures can make me fangirl.

Nikita, “Survival Instincts”, February 1, 2013
Actors: Maggie Q, Shane West
The Scene:

Michael & Nikita fight - I loved the flashbacks to 1x04 and the kiss she gave him. These two just break my heart.

4. FROM KLUTZY GIRL

Bones, “The Twist in the Plot”, January 28, 2013
Actors: David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel

Grey’s Anatomy, “Bad Blood”, January 31, 2013

Meredith feels the baby kicking for the first time
Bailey's random Hunger Games references
Meredith and Derek feeling the baby kick at the end.

The Office, “Vandalism”, January 31, 2013
Actors: Brain Baumgartner, Jack Coleman
The Scene:

Kevin calls out the Senator for his treatment of Angela and Oscar.

5. FROM SYLVIE C

Chicago Fire, “Warm and Dead”, January 30, 2013
Actors: Eamonn Walker
The Scene:

Chief Boden searching for Ernie in the burning house, finding him unconscious in a closet, carrying him outside and finding he was already dead. I cried.

6. FROM DARTH LOCKE

Downton Abbey, “Episode Five”, January 27, 2013
Actors: Jessica Brown Findlay, David Robb, Tim Pigott-Smith
The Scene:

Sybil's death scene and the climatic Doctor verses Doctor pre-death scenes were fantastically preformed and made Downton Abbey exceptionally heart breaking this week. Of course the U.K. chaps already have seen this, but for American audiences, finally seeing it is nothing in comparison to knowing about it in advance. It surely will change the feel of Downton from her on out. I can only hope that Branson and Sybil's daughter will continue to be apart of the show. I give Downton props to continue to use medical issues and debates of disease and treatment as something relating to the time period.

The Americans, “Pilot”, January 30, 2013
Actors: Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys
The Scenes:

It's second or third scene with 'pass the Russian in the night' paired with Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk" was a nice introduction! Also seeing how the actor who play's Kerri Russell's character's husband gets mad at the Russian commander for realizing what he did to his wife was a nice turn around. The show seems like it might not only ask questions about what it might be like for an outsider looking on on 1980's Cold War America, but perhaps it will address the nature of right or wrong no matter where you are from, or where you live. The only thing I didn't like about it, was it's filming style was little too dark in spots. I wanted to be able to see what was going on more.

7. FROM JULIA ALBUQUERQUE

The Americans, “Pilot”, January 30, 2013
Actors: Matthew Rhys
The Scene:

I loved the pilot and there were great moments - some mentioned above, but if there is one scene that stuck with me was the very last shot of The Americans. Call me naive, but I really wasn't expecting Phillip to be watching in the shadows and I just loved the way it was shot and specially lit.

Bunheads, "The Astronaut and the Ballerina", January 28, 2013
Actors: Sutton Foster, Hunter Foster
The Scene:

There was something very poignant on the last scene between Michelle and her brother. Their problems didn't just magically vanish - which is refreshing when dealing with a guest star - and yes, there was still a lot of tension, but I adore how the Foster siblings played that one final song.

8. FROM JIMMY RYAN

Scandal, “Truth or Consequences”, January 31, 2013
The Scenes:

ABC's Scandal was once again full of excellent scenes. Two that I'll mention specifically were when Quinn, Huck, Harrison, and Abby were trying to put the pieces of the political scandal together. Scandal fans will know how insanely fast all the characters talk, and this scene was no exception, along with its help in deepening the conspiracy further.

The second Scandal scene was right at the end of the episode, with Mellie giving birth having induced her labor to prevent her husband from divorcing her. She's a very cunning woman, and we will no doubt see the conclusion to those events next week.

9. FROM ROBIN SMYTH

Elementary, “The Red Team”, January 31, 2013
Actors: Jonny Lee Miller
The Scene:

The one, where Sherlock is describing the way he messes with the conspiracy theorists.
