Thanks to Stephen for the heads up.

Young Australian actress Adelaide Kane (Neighbours) has landed the lead in the CW drama pilot Reign. The project, from CBS TV Studios, chronicles the rise to power of Mary Queen of Scots (Kane) when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis, and with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting. It details the secret history of survival at French Court amidst fierce foes, dark forces, and a world of sexual intrigue.

  1. This is so not getting picked up

  2. I think it's gonna be an either/or situation with this pilot and The Selection. The Selection is filming in Hungary and this sounds like an expensive series to shoot as well since it is a period drama, so I can't see The CW picking up both, just either or.

  3. or they could build a new "royal night" around them
After all the effort they put into The Selection i think that willl most likely be picked up plus it has all the makings of a ratings success and seems perfect for the CW audience

I was thinking perhaps for Fall

    Monday
    The Selection
    Reign

    Tuesday
    Blink
    Hart of Dixie

    Wednesday
    Arrow
    The Tomorrow People

    Thursday
    Vampire Diaries
    The Originals

    Friday
    Nikita
    Supernatural

Midseason Oxygen or Carrie/BATB if they survive

EDIT: 5 new fall shows would be too much i guess

  4. This could be so amazingly trashy, like the Tudors on crack cocaine. I think that as long as they don't take this too seriously, it could be even more than just a guilty pleasure.
