Daryl and Merle blow up in the woods, surprisingly, and by far. I say surprisingly because the whole fight scene at the end was simply insane, one of the best scenes of the series for me. But I loved the scene in the woods between the brothers. We got a great insight of their relationship,Daryl finally stepped up to his brother,we got to see that deep down Merle actually has a heart(at least when it comes to Daryl),we learned some things about their past and both actors where incredible. It's not every day you get such a meaningful, emotional scene between characters like Daryl and Merle Dixon.
A lot of good scenes. I picked Merle and Daryl saving Rick, because Merle had been an outcast, and turns out he's not all bad. I was stunned when Axel got shot--I didn't know what happened at first. Quick thinking on Carol's part to duck down and save herself. The group on the bridge--interesting to see there are others. All I liked about the Glenn/Maggie conversation was Maggie standing up for herself while Glenn was being a jackass.
I think my favorite moment, though, was Beth handing the baby to Maggie and comforting her (learn something Glenn, that's how it's done).
From the choices given, Daryl and Merle blow up in the woods. I loved Daryl in this episode (trying to talk some sense into Merle, saving the people on the bridge, standing up to Merle, saving Rick, all of it was awesome), he is such a good person. But still, if I could I would have picked the scene where Rick opens up to Hershel. Rick is just so utterly physically and emotionally exhausted that I'm not surprised he had a nervous breakdown at all, plus Andrew Lincoln plays him wonderfully. I hope he will get better soon, because I love him and Daryl as a powerfull dynamic duo.;-)
Daryl and Merle blowup in the woods by far. I honestly expected them to be on their own for a couple episodes anyway so when Daryl raised the bow at Merle on the bridge my mouth just dropped open b/c i didn't expect it so soon, then when they entered the woods, my mouth just dropped lower with every angry word he spoke. It may have been sooner than expected, but that didn't make me cheer any less when Daryl told Merle he deserved what he got on the roof and Merle had caused it long before Atlanta (yes, my mom and i are crazy enough about this show that we actually clapped and cheered when he called Merle a small minded b******...lol)
also, was i the only one who kinda fought tears when Merle called Glen the Chinese kid and Daryl shot back "He's Korean!!" it just brought me back to season one when Daryl kept calling Glen China-man and Glen would shoot back "I'm Korean."
i kinda wish the Grimes Gang had been witness to the whole thing, b/c then even if they found out they'd been intending to rob them at first, they wouldn't care but now i'm somewhat afraid if Merle tells them, there might be strain, and Daryl and Ricks relationship is one of my most favorite things about this show..
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
That entire last act was amazeballs, too bad for Axel. Dude was fodder & wound up getting none from Carol or anybody.

ReplyDeleteI don´t like Rick seeing Lori and hope it is not gonna continue for too long.
I think/hope the attack on the prison may have snapped him out of it.

I also liked the scene between Rick/Glenn/Maggie when Glenn crushed the zombie's head. I got chills.
