This was mildly interesting. The show plays like a local, amateur Criminal Minds, with the lead detective trying to profile a potential suspect while she works the case.
The one thing that really didn't work for me is how the show tirelessly and painfully tried to make Kristin Lehman's character fit the never-ending trend of cool, subversive, edgy investigators. I wish writers would realize that there are other ways to make your lead character stand out. Also, the show's ham-fisted, flirty cougar dialogue for Lauren Holly had the unfortunate distinction of making me cringe and roll my eyes at the same time which is very difficult to do.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Definitely, will keep watching. Great acting, and character interactions. A bit surprised by the reveal at the end, which is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteGood, but not great. I thought the best parts were with her son rather than the case.
ReplyDeleteI'll tune in next week again though.
