The end was cute and so were Marshall/Lily, but this episode pissed me off so much. They completely ruined the gesture with the proposal and thought we should accept it. Well I will not. Jennette burning it - and Barney letting her - doesn't make up for it, although I'm glad he told her it was fine.
And Robin should have fought with him more because that was horrifying. So angry with the writers that I want to cry. That's how upset I am over this. Glad Barney told her he loved her, but giving her flowers should not have made her accept his apology.
The song at the end was awesome. CCR, right? What was it called?
They better fix this and start writing Barney/Robin better because they did it so well before.
I liked the episode...classic Barney with the plays. I am going to hate married Barney.
Still don't buy that crap with Ted saying he's "finally" ready to settle down. He's been looking for "the one" since episode 1. Jeanette was funny in this episode though.
LOL, yes, but I'm allowed to be mad about what they've done. And I know I'm most likely overreacting here, but oh well. There was absolutely no reason for that storyline.
Eh, I think it was an acceptable thing to bring back up. After all, there was not a 100% guarantee Robin would have accepted his proposal...in Barney's view I assume it would've been a shame to destroy it for know pay-off. Although I completely agree that he should have had to grovel more for forgiveness lol
Barney could have gone out and gotten a copy or something. In fact, some of us speculated he was going to use a copy, which still would have made me mad, but I would have accepted it over this mess.
This was a great episode Marshall and his skittles was hilarious, Barney saying all those things to Ted and him actually doing them, Lily finally finding her art passion it's nice to see that she's doing what she always dreamed of doing. But, the best parts was by far Barney & Robin they are the cutest, sweetest, adorable couple ever and Barney's speech to Robin was one million times the best thing he's ever said to her I was almost going to cry. Maybe I will when I rewatch it again. Also, Barney had a point in all the years Robin had known him she put up with all of his craziness and she even went a little crazy herself over Barney and did her own plays on him it's why they are perfect together. They are both crazy but also can be okay with their craziness cause they understand each other better than anyone it's why I love them and it's why their love is SPECIAL.
Enjoyed the episode. Marshall and Lilly's story was alright until the skittles part and Marshall bonding with the artist guy over Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Ted following Barney's instructions on how to run plays was pretty entertaining, but that could have easily been done without the playbook (I'm sure Barney memorized some), there was no need to bring it up again. And I'm glad that Jeanette is gone, potentially the worst character in the show's run.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteAlso, CCR at the end was a nice touch.
Noticed no one commented on the CCR part of your comment. The song name was: "Long As I Can See The Light"
