It was an okay episode, nothing like the perfection that was the first half of the season, but it broke my heart (and left me kind of angry) that the girls had to sell the shop. It was the second big mistake of the season to me (the first being the break-up between Andy and Caroline), and those two mistakes together simply negated everything that happened on the whole season, pretty much like there was no advance at all, since the other characters were pretty much static ever since the cupcake shop storyline started. It's gonna be cool seing the girls spending more time at the Diner, but this development kind of felt like a Fringe-y situation when an entire season worth of events is rendered useless. But, hey, let's see what becomes of the girls on the last stretch of episodes of the season, here's hoping we get to see Caroline's dad once more before the finale.
Maybe the writers thought everything was happening too soon. Or perhaps now Andy will return and this time him and Caroline will work it out since there's no more shop to worry about. The $1.00 was so sad! they work so hard, but hey, the show's name is 2 BROKE girls, so I guess they won't succeed any time soon.
Yeah, but it was still an interesting direction to take. At first, when the shop idea started, I thought it was too much too soon, but then I got really into the idea and I was digging the division between diner and shop. It does make sense to step back a little but it feels as though the entire season was wasted, much like the Robin/Ted break-up on How I Met Your Mother: the most perfect season and practically no effect on the bigger picture.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
