Wow...that last clip was long, I hoped it would never end. Neal is funny. Aw, Snow's birthday. I was hoping someone else on this show would celebrate a birthday. :)
I didn't like this young Snow. She changed a lot between this and the time when she met Regina. And what's with that face Emma? Rumpelstiltskin is centuries old, he has obviously lived a lot and he knows true love when he sees it, and you are the living proof of that. You can't deny that you still have feelings for Neal and you certainly can't hide it from his father.
ALL THE PARALLELS. Emma's stealing Regina's lines, Rumple's standing in Regina's shoes (Queen of Hearts callback, anyone?), Neal's stealing Emma's role in Henry's life. Imo, the Snow/Eva/Johanna scene brings out Snow's major character flaw - her sense of superiority.
I love it. Then again I'm someone who prefers characters with flaws - they make them who they are and so much more interesting. I'm glad the show is delving into it with Snow because it feels more real. There are no perfect people. There are no people who are always right either. I hope they will explore that in current Snow, too.
I just watched a video on Yahoo of Ginny and Bailee talking about each other. Bailee is adorable and REALLY takes her craft seriously! She was studying Ginnifer's facial expressions and voice hardcore and it shows.
Yes! We all know she's really good but still, watching her becoming a PERFECT younger version of Ginnifer, I caught myself saying "God, she's good!"... It's unbelievable how awesome she is, probably one of he best child actresses out there...
Yes! This episode is turning out to be so much better than I expected. Showing Snow growing up and how she also made mistakes and how the story seems to repeat itself over and over again with different characters. Finally, some deeper plot continuity that started in Manhattan!
Emma is the only one who knows if she still has feelings for Neal and it's not Rumple's place to comment on her feelings and try to push her and Neal back together. They're no longer in fairytale world. Emma is an adult woman who can make her own choices about her love life and some fairytale character trying to force her hand with talk about a fairytale idea of one true love should not change that.
The writing is pushing too hard again. This is one of the few things I really don't like about the writing for OUAT. They always want to force some relationships on you instead of letting them develop naturally and out of the dynamics between the actors. If the writing tries to force something on me I usually lose interest.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how wonderful Bailee Madison is? She has some of Ginnifer Goodwin's expression down to a "T."

ReplyDeleteYeah there's an AP interview out with Bailee and Ginnifer about Snow White and how Bailee copied Ginnifer's mannerisms.

ReplyDeleteK yeah, I'm most interested in the NY story I think, though Snow's will be nice.
ReplyDeleteBailee is so awesome as Young!Snow, but I'm a little more interested in what goes down in NY.

ReplyDeleteI loved the Emma / Rumple conversation. I hope there's more stuff like that.

ReplyDelete"She changed a lot between this and the time when she met Regina".
ReplyDeleteOf course she did. And the flashbacks will show us how und why.
Please could someone give me a transcript of Emma and Rumpel convo?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
