- So Elena is impersonating Katherine and Katherine thinks Elena can't pull it off due to her innocence? That kind of makes it seem like Elena's humanity switch is back on. - The Arrow episode seems good but having Laurel say the word "canary" isn't a big deal, just like it wasn't a big deal that Thea's nickname turned to be "Speedy." - Well, if Bunheads is going to end it might as well end with a character being happy. Congrats, whoever you are. - I'm so apathetic about this season of SPN that JP's comment doesn't even register with me. - I guess the Zoe / Wade split on HoD is no joke.
I really don't think it has to be a ''all or nothing'' kind of deal. Maybe there's a way to keep Cass ''out'' of the spell by making him human or something and he could , idk, stay at the bunker maybe and give the boys infos by phone and come with them from time to time like in Hunteri Heroici. The fans would be happy if the boys start calling Cass for infos instead of Garth ;P
That would be like in The End, with the angels gone and Cass staying behind. I can't stop thinking about what Lucifer said that details, the order and all can change but the end will remain the same. We had almost everything happening now, even the ''Bobby killed by gun shot'' part of The End
I agree with you.I have been thinking about it for a long time now. Many things that happened in "The end" have actually come to pass and it seems that if Cas becomes human at the end of this season and turns into a human hunter, some the episode's details would be confirmed.Of course Sam isn't possessed by Lucifer and Dean hasn't started torture again and they are together but the writers could use the facts described in that episode and establish a new direction for the show.It would be really interesting to watch given that Dean confronted his future self and future/human Cas.I would like to see if he has something to say about it.
I'm putting the ''possessed by lucifer', thing in one of the aspect that they just changed the order. Lucifer did say that they could always change details. They changed the order, but more or less everything has happened or look like it will still happen. Its almost scary^^; I've been wondering for years if everything the writers have done is to push us in that direction or its just me overanalazing. Like if killing Bobby with bullets, for exemple, was just another way to make ''The End'' closer. I wonder if Dean will meet his futur him, now that I think about it its mind blowing^^;
Cause if they changed the 'details' (the order and some details), if PastDean still appear in 2014, will the past stay the same if he didn't see the same thing that we saw in this episode? I'm guessing (you can disagree with me, just a personnal guess) we won't see 'pastDean' and that the futur we saw was just a possible futur and that timeline kind of got erase (but if that timeline is 'erase' how can pastdean go there? time paradox ;P)....Maybe there's a lot of differents mixes of futur all make from these same elements
TVD Elena pretending to be Katerina? Gotta see that. Well, Katerina could be right about Elena being unable to pull it off. If she would have her humanity. But Elena is not the weak, whiny girl she was anymore. Ironically thanks to Katerina.
SUPERNATURAL I like Cas. But maybe closing the gates would be a good way to close the angels chapter. I would also suggest they close the gates to hell, but then the boys would be out of work.
The angel tablet's probably going to be dealt with in Season 9 and it doesn't mean Cas will die, rather unable to come back to Earth. The sacrifice would be not being able to see their friend again, at least until they die.
What would be very cool would be to have the 200th episode making some kind of ''The End''-related episode. Not with Lucifer or anything, but make those links and all, and have the boys hit a huge wall like Lucifer said it would happen. Since the 200th episode will be in the fall of 2014 (episode 5 of Season 10, if S9 has 23 episodes) and the timelime from The End met their ending in summer 2014. That's close enough :)
They'd still have monsters to hunt. And wouldn't this season be moot if they never closed Hell's gates? And Supernatural is coming to it's final seasons (Season 10 will probably be its last- no network is going to air a show forever) so it makes sense they'd start wrapping things up.
I don't think they said the word ',wall'' but by hitting a wall I mean that they're...I don't know..''screwed''?^^;; I haven't watch The End in a very very very veryyyy long time, but I remember Lucifer saying something about how they'll always end up in the same place, meeting their end or whatever it was.
But by then we'll still have 3/4 of a season to go, they can't end the serie with only 5 eps. in a season^^; But...I really don't know, (just guessing and throwing the the first ideas popping out of my head here)...they could start something there that would kill the boys for real at the end of the season if Season 10 is the last (especially considering if they seal Heaven and Hell, there's not much story to go on from there).
That would be very ''cool'' (xD sorry for the lack of vocabulary tonight, its past midnight and I'm writing faster than I'm thinking here....) to make full circle. Like in Eureka (linking the pilot with the last episode of the serie), having the serie ending linked with something that happened/was predicted seasons before....And now I'm really thinking too much, the writers will take a whole different way...but that's okay, its fun discussing the show and making up stories :P
I do not want the brothers or Cas dead so I do not want full circle. And full circle would be Sam being still alive, as he was alive when Lucifer was vesseling him.
I don't see it being that tied in with "The End" since there was no Apocalypse and Lucifer is gone.
I do wonder if possibly Cas will try to stay on Earth come what may, and the cut off from Heaven makes him human instead of him being forced/zapped back to Heaven. The cut off from Heaven would be similar to the angels leaving and Cas's powers in "The End" draining away.
I believe the word "sacrifice" is loose in context here. I think the sacrifice would be Cas being stuck in Heaven, unable to visit Earth, since the angel tablet would keep all angels out. And I think this would be a hard decision for Sam and Dean, and that Castiel would be willing to do it as I can't think of a time outside the Leviathan powered spree that Cas did anything for himself.
Saying that, I kinda hope selfishly, that Cas becomes human to stay on Earth (maybe even to help close the gate?). Especially after the wanting to be a hunter storyline.
What are you doing by bringing logic to the deal? That's not fair, ahah, just kidding ;)
Yeah I know that we don't have Lucifer anymore, but like I said, maybe there could be some sort of similarities. Like one 'detail' could be that it's another bad guy there instead of Lucifer, Crowley maybe. There's such materal to make a link or go to the same place or whatever. But if there's not...well life and the serie goes on I guess :) It's a win-win situation for me. Since everything is on the table to do some 'links', I'll be happy. If nothing happened, I'll just enjoy the ride and let the writers take me where they want to take us, so I won't mind too much either.
With a friend we're having fun, everytime one of us bring Bobby's dead to the conversation, the others make up some story like ''He's not dead, he's in the wood, with Jody, busy making babies'' and end the sentence by ''#ForeverInDenial :P It's kind of an inside joke between us
"And wouldn't this season be moot if they never closed Hell's gates?" Not really. They spent all of season 4 trying to stop seals from being broken and they couldn't do it. It doesn't mean the season was moot. It just turned out that the entire season was a prelude to the season 5 apocalypse storyline.
Yeah, but that was different because it was a prelude. This is like the Apocalypse. It's something final. What could not closing the Hell gates do? More demonic troubles? We've had that all along, though it's gotten progressively worst.
Just like the apocalypse, it's only final if they finish it. They didn't finish it. Sam and Dean banished those two idiots to Hell before they had their final battle. They're going to have an angel around full-time next season so it stands to reason that, for better or worse, there's probably going to be some Heaven / Hell stuff going on.
Well they don't need to finish the Hell storyline this season. I just mean eventually the progress they made this season has to lead to the closing of Hell. When that happens don't know. Could have a flash forward to 2025 the boys finally closing the gates and this season would still mean something as long as the gates close eventually.
I also agree with Jared and think there's a high probabilty that *it's Cas* who will have to choose where to call "home" before the Winchesters/Cas shut the gates. The show has been about "choices" before every "major event" occurs. I can't see the show not allowing "Cas" to choose especially now that MC's a regular.
Great points! Especially Bobby being killed by a bullet rather than being killed "hands on" by a supernatural baddie (i.e. "eaten" by a Wendigo/Leviathan/Ghoul/Vamp, etc)
I'm sure Misha and Jared will have a laugh about that comment, its just a question and a answer right?. Its good in a way to hear other point of views and that was gutsy lol. I wonder if the angel tablet is something unrelated to the other tab so it might be a trial thing?. I think the third trial could be Crowley, I'm just theorizing. How are they suppose to close it with him around. Looking forward and wish the best to Cas!

Oh God, Jared. Run as fast as you can after you just said that about Cas. The big stans are not going to take this well.
ReplyDeleteThe Americans and Southland spoilers were interesting!
Well, that's an upsetting little snippet about Supernatural. At least it's just Jared's speculation and not an actual spoiler. But still.
ReplyDelete- So Elena is impersonating Katherine and Katherine thinks Elena can't pull it off due to her innocence? That kind of makes it seem like Elena's humanity switch is back on.

Well Misha is sticking around for good next season so Cas will survive one way or another!
ReplyDeleteIs this a spoiler or just Jared's opinion? Singer said they wouldn't bring the angel's tablet this season, didn't he?
ReplyDeleteThat statement takes a lot of courage Jared. Good for you. Here's hoping the writers and producers agree with you.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you.I have been thinking about it for a long time now.

Same thoughts. I think we discussed before how "The End" details are coming to pass.
ReplyDeleteYou just gave me a headache. Time travel is so funky it's hard to make sense of it. Supernatural, Fringe, Charmed = mind blown. lol
ReplyDeleteI know I brought it up here before at least once or twice, it must've been with you ;P
ReplyDeleteI remember having the conversation.
ReplyDeleteThe angel tablet's probably going to be dealt with in Season 9 and it doesn't mean Cas will die, rather unable to come back to Earth. The sacrifice would be not being able to see their friend again, at least until they die.

ReplyDeleteI don't remember the huge wall comment?
ReplyDeleteI don't think they'd do a "The End" related episode, but that would be cool. Maybe even just a reference or two.

His opinion as I doubt they have any time for the angel tablet this season.
ReplyDeleteI believe the word "sacrifice" is loose in context here. I think the sacrifice would be Cas being stuck in Heaven, unable to visit Earth, since the angel tablet would keep all angels out. I'm always on the ride though I'm not always happy about it's course. I almost like the details matching up, except I miss Bobby.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't? :'(
