3 Sneak Peeks rolled into 1

  1. The third sneak was a little discomforting morality-wise but the "with each other?" and "how long were we asleep?" response were funny.

    I do want Michelle to audition, but I'm not sure how they could possibly balance her having a career and the town stories. She's not happy teaching not doing yet. And they've not done a good job transitioning her.

  2. It is with deep regret that I believe your concerns about Michelle and the continuation of her storyline are moot. This will probably be the last episode of Bunheads that the network will ever produce.

  3. ::sigh:: I know. :(

    But...it's so much happier in my no-cancellation bubble.

  4. I was in that bubble with you until a few weeks a go when I started checking up on the ratings. When I saw the stats I got bit choked up because I knew it was the end of the line. It really sucks when quality shows like this don't catch on.

  5. I know. So sad. I'm worried about several other shows right now too (Hart of Dixie, Lost Girl, Lying Game, Beauty and the Beast, Good Wife). I think it was just too uneven: lots of great elements that never came together. I'm hoping that Sutton Foster gets more work, she's got this great Doris Day quality where she can be silly or make mistakes and still be really engaging. And I liked the kids who played Ginny and Boo. I'll miss them. Oh well. :(

  6. I think the show evened out. It just took until this back half of the season to do it. Unfortunately, a lot of viewers didn't return to the show this winter after the hiatus to see it. They gave it 10 episodes and jumped off. In that regard, I guess I can't blame them. 10 episodes is a generous sampling.

    I'll miss practically all the characters on this show. Michelle is great, Ginny and Boo are adorable, Sasha has finally started to grow on me, I love how crazy Truly is, and Melanie has this weird... I don't know how to explain it. She's brash and loud and physical and a funky out-of-date style. I picture her like Bea Arthur as a teenager in the 1970's. Whatever it is, I love it. Anyway...

    Out of the shows you mention, Hart of Dixie is probably the only one worth worrying about. The Lying Game's ratings are on par with last season, BatB's ratings are sustainable for The CW, Lost Girl is a shoo-in for renewal in Canada even if Syfy doesn't pick it up again, and The Good Wife is the only CBS drama that gets any critical acclaim whatsoever which again should be enough to overlook the old-skewing demo.

  7. This better be a fantastic episode since it's likely to be the last one. I'm going to be so sad without Michelle, Sasha, Mel and Truly. Maybe a high rating season finale can save it (unlikely) or something else could be cancelled instead (I don't know about other ABCFam shows).
