  1. Yeah TJ, because the right way to find out what a woman want's is to look it up on the internet, why bother listening to them instead?
And Vincent, you'll have a very hard time proving to her how you feel, after you chosed your ex over her, and only went to her when said ex rejected you. God knows I wouldn't take you back, no matter how hot you are.

  4. "You had a history. You needed to see it through."
What kind of bullsh*t logic is that? It makes absolutely no sense, especially in the context of this situation. Vincent screwed up. Plain and simple. No one want's to be another person's back-up plan or consolation prize and if everything is back to normal with Cat at the end of this episode I'll be quite disappointed. No way in hell should it be that easy to fix this.

  5. I think it makes sense from Vincent's POV. Not a sentence he should say to Cat! But for him, he wanted to see if he could go back to his old life, be who he thinks of himself as again, and close the door once and for all (yeah right, I watched Charmed) on being "normal." I'm big on closure. It's not a justification for why he ran off with a different girl for Cat, but for him there were feelings and ideas that he needed to box away and stop holding on to.

He totally screwed up. And "I was having an identity crisis and I'm sorry" isn't really what anyone wants to hear, but the idea that he doesn't currently have an identity or purpose for a guy who is used to helping people is something that they can work through. He shouldn't be looking to get her back with the explanation, just reassure her as he grovels (and woos) that it really is over and he wants to move forward with her and leave his old self behind. For me there has to be something positive out of it, not that I can never be normal so you're the monster's choice, but you can accept me for who I have become and it's time I did too and I make the best out of this--hey did you know I can see at night? Second choice is bad, but monster's choice is even worse.

  6. oh I'd give him a second chance, even a third... hehehe no, you're actually righ,t but I think that everybody is forgetting that was Catherine herself who told him that he should find out what were his feelings for Alex.. so I don't know how angry Catherine should be.

  8. It made sense from Vincent's POV because his POV was messed up. The fact that he wanted to find out if he could go back to his old life is proof that he wasn't thinking straight because it's plain to see that he can't.

In a nutshell, instead of taking this opportunity to make peace with his past (like he should have done) he foolishly and selfishly tried to recapture it instead and he did it at the expense of the people closest to him.

You're right that Vincent is going to have to show that he's ready to put his past behind him and accept the person he is now if he has any shot of making this work. Who is going to want to be with someone who is constantly pining for what used to be and wishing he was someone he's not?

  9. Catherine always puts Vincent first. She risks her life and the life of others around her,she risks her job for Vincent,he leaves mess behind and Catherine cleans it up for him.He goes off to some romantic getaway with his ex fiance, and Catherine is behind cleaning up his mess saving his ass.Even after he made it clear that he had chosen Alex (which not to mention after she told him she loved him). And he only comes back to her asking for a chance when his ex rejected him.Do you just expect her to believe you that she is not your backup plan? And she would just welcome you with open arms and kiss you and tell you it's OKAY?
No Vincent you have made a huge mess and this time Catherine won't clean it up for you.You have to make it right and work really hard to gain the trust of the woman who loves you more than anything, back.

  10. Really angry. Because is not about Vincent chosing Alex, is about Vincent taking Catherine for granted, just like "hey,my ex freaked out, so congratulations! You are the winner!"

  11. I know, he's totally hot, but I like to think I left my shallow self in my late teens, and my mature and confident (not so confident, lol) self would stand her ground and say "I'm no one’s second best".
ITA to what ViKi said. That was how it felt to me, that if Alex had accepted him for who and what he is, he would never have been at Cat's fire escape, and now he needs to prove to her ( and us :) ) that that's not the case.
So yeah, I hope there's a lot of groveling and "wooing", and that it lasts for 3 episodes (4's too much and 2 not enough, lol)

  12. I'm so happy to see that Catherine stood her ground and didn't allow Vincent back into her life so easily. I really dislike that Vincent didn't choose Catherine until he was rejected by his Ex. She is now sloppy seconds and I'm glad that Catherine told him she doesn't want to be his second choice. Vincent was planning on going away with his Ex and it wasn't until she rejected him that he came crawling back to Catherine. Catherine deserves better than that and I need a few episodes of Vincent trying his hardest to get back into Catherine's good graces. I still don't think Vincent realizes how much he hurt Catherine throughout this whole ordeal. His words to her at the end of the episode ring a little hollow to me because he only made those declarations when he knew he was out of options.

  13. I'm sorry to say this, but I kind of understand Vincent a little more than you guys do. Do not forget that this situation is not under regural circumstances. He has a mutating DNA and he has been strong enough to hide for then years. And that is a lot. Seeing her ex fiancé confused him and he had a fantasy in pink clouds he could have his old life back. I bet he wished for that every single day in the last ten days until he met Catherine. He needed time with Alex to realize that Catherine understand him more. And yes it is a little bit blameworthy that he needed to be rejected by Alex. But he didn't lose the girl he loved... No... He lost the chance to have a normal life again and that point, all the pink clouds ran away and now he can see things as they are. I hope they get togheter soon but he really has to make things right and that is going to take a little time for him. He has my blessings.
