Rosemarie DeWitt is exiting HBO’s The Newsroom.
The United States of Tara and Mad Men actress is leaving the program after shooting only a couple episodes from the Aaron Sorkin cable news drama’s upcoming second season. She will be replaced by another actress and the production plans to re-shoot her character’s scenes.
Here’s a statement from HBO: “As the production schedule for season two of The Newsroom has shifted, Rosemarie DeWitt has encountered scheduling conflicts and will no longer be able to continue in her role.”
