The wedding dance just definitely proves that they'll go through with the wedding 100%. I'm so happy that there isn't any doubt as to Swarkles being endgame. I was very annoyed when Ted said that Robin should be with him not Barney but I understood where he was coming from, having loved a woman for almost 8 years.
I absolutely loved the moment between Lily and Ted on the roof. I know this show is a sitcom, and is more often than not joke after joke, but I love when the show gets real like this. It was such an honest moment.
Definitely Ted and Lily's conversation on the roof. Lily's confession was brutally honest...I hate how seldom Ted and Lily get good conversations, because they are always fantastic and thought-provoking. And Ted's thoughts about being hurt so many times and it feeling a million times worse than all of that combined...SO sad. I really and truly get sick up people bashing Ted for having those feelings. I could just as easily begrudge Robin and/or Barney for having those feelings for each other. In fact, I do begrudge those feelings a lot, but only because I dislike them as a couple. As characters, I totally respect and accept that they have these feelings. Who can really blame Ted for believing Robin deserves better than Barney? I certainly do. Plus, I know if the cards were reversed and Robin married someone else, all of these Robin/Barney shippers would think it was absolutely precious and heartbreaking as opposed to pathetic, as a lot view Ted as. Just because we get the flash forwards doesn't mean Ted does!!!!
Every BR scene, the little we got was great and the flashfoward to the wedding. Robin looks beaming with happiness so happy to see her looking beautiful and happy and married. I hope we see Barney at the wedding to before the wedding/finale this season.
definitely the best episode this season so far, but there were two things i didnt like:
1. the real issue behind robin and her dad's estrangement (the fact that he could not accept that he had a daughter, not a son, and treated her like his son for a large part of her life) was not addressed in this episode, and it made it seem like the issue between them that he was simply just a stern, scary guy. but then again, things between them did seem a bit unresolved at the end of the episode, so maybe (and hopefully) this issue will be addressed.
2. i feel so bad for ted! the writers keep making him look more and more pathetic. first it was ted being too involved in lily's pregnancy, because he thought he should be doing the same thing alongside lily and marshall. then he goes overboard being marvin's nanny because he thought he should be a dad by then and he misses working on the GNB building. and last night, he goes overboard planning robin and barney's wedding because he's upset about losing robin forever. really guys?
Although my favorite was Lily and Ted's talk on the roof, but I really liked some others, too. Especially when Lily jumps at Ted and yells, "Imma cut you, bitch".
i think the MOTHER is the woman in the 21th episode of the first season......he's perfect woman but he never meet her...he didn't go to the meeting ....hint : she playing gitar !!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteThat and nothing going for his love life at this moment or any moment for that matter.

ReplyDeleteOk, rant done.
Definitely: "Are you a coooop?!" "I'm not a cooooop!"
ReplyDeleteThe ending credits, cause then the episode was finally over.

Lily and Ted on the roof. My absolute favorite thing wasn't a single specific scene but a story beat (finding out when Ted will meet the mother)
