  1. haha ooh, the two idiots. Not nice.

  2. Wow. That was awesome. Pretty much the scene I wanted to see from the next episode. So creepy and manipulative.

  3. Ha! 8pm show...cannot go near the B* word. Nice way to handle the dialog. :-) This is a great scene. Even as Regina forces herself not to believe her mother's lies, she is missing Cora's core manipulations here. Great scene. I'm beginning the back half of this season is going to be strong.

  4. Please, please please don't turn Cora into a sympathetic character. PLEASE let her be stringing Regina along!

  5. Great emotional scene.

I loved Regina's casual way of referring to "the two idiots." Even when broken and facing her mother, she really can't pass up an opportunity to diss Snow and Charming. I love this woman.

  6. I doubt they will make her sympathetic. She does love Regina in her own way, but we all know Cora wants to control her daughter.

  7. I'm impressed by Regina's resolve. Now if only she'd hand Cora a grenade, tell her it's a peace offering, and to wait six seconds then make a wish.

  8. I think not using the B word here was intentional. Calling Cora a bitch probably wouldn't end well. That lady is scary.

  9. A Sneak Peek already?!?! But.... But.... But.... It's only Monday!!! :O

  10. Damn, good acting. Loved this. Also, "anything for you"? Mommie Dearest is up to something. I doubt she came such a long way only to be turned down now. Yikes.

  11. Regina has the best lines "Emma & Henry and the two idiots" LOL

  12. BEST SCENE EVER!!!!
Terrific character development for Regina (yay!), such strength & powerful emotion demonstrated by both characters and the actresses portraying them... I can't imagine this scene playing any better in my mind, either demonstrating the calibre of the actresses, the skill of the writers/director/producers at putting together this show, and most importantly in the narrative sense, perfect moment of reunion for two of the most central, dominating characters in the OUAT multiverse.

I'm just surprised this was sneak peaked... I can't imagine anything in the episode will top it.

  13. No, I know that. My comment was intended as a compliment to the writing and the fact that the dialog felt natural especially in the face of not using the b-word due to time slot.

  14. I love Cora, you can just see the manipulation seething through her. Barbara Hersey is an amazing actress, I cannot wait until Sunday. :)

  15. I hope they mention where they are in this scene because that room is gorgeous. I hope that one sapphire dress is in there with the greatest hits, even though it's probably not sensible for Maine weather.

  16. Lovely scene!
    Also, Cora's cooking something...

  17. I think maybe because they're putting it on YouTube that they cut the "bitch" out...it just feels right there? Or maybe they didn't. Maybe characters who grew up in FTL don't swear (I can't recall anyone ever doing so). But Emma's said "son of a bitch" many times. I agree with you about the writing! It's nice dialog. Gotta love Jane Espenson.

  18. I don't know what makes me happier: seeing Regina hold her ground or seeing Cora play the repented mother so convincingly. Anyway, this has clearly been edited and we can hope for a longer scene during the episode :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Damn!!!I love this sneak peek!!!!Can't wait!!! I hope Cora meant all that...Although that very last bit was not so convincing...

  20. No, it's not so much that they won't use that word in the show (Regina has called Gold "bastard" and "twisted little imp", Emma's used the expression "Ït's storming like a bitch"), I think it has more to do with the fact that despite everything Regina still cannot bring herself to call her own mother that. Similarly, she preffered to blame Snow for Daniel's death more than she blamed Cora. But it's only natural - it's not easy for someone to accept and admit that their parents can be such monsters.

So yes, superb dialog, and even more spectacularly acted out.

  21. This place sort of looks like Regina's office in City Hall. But if you pay attention, there's a brick wall on Lana's back during part of the scene. I'm guessing it's somewhere in her crypt. Or hidden in her own house (I wouldn't put a secret room pass them). But, who cares? SHE BROUGHT HER EVIL QUEEN CLOTHES! I love that.

  22. Couldn't agree more! And I'm just as surprised that we get this sneak peak so early on in the week (not that I'm complaining).

    ReplyDelete
  23. For a split second I was inclined to believe Cora, but I'm glad Regina is stronger than me and didn't fall for Cora's manipulativeness.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh Cora just oozes Im-up-to-no-good I still think she has more aces up her sleeves (or queens of hearts as the case may be) Something tells me she won't be such a willing participant with Regina's path of redemption.

I know it's cliche but; ItsATrap

  25. The others already know Regina didn't do it and they wanted to go to her. Why is Regina now dragging Cora to them?

    ReplyDelete
  26. What a great scene. "Emma and Henry and the two idiots" is the line I'll have in my head for the rest of this week.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh my God! "Emma and Henry and the two idiots" !! I want a T-shirt with that on it :p This scene is probably one of the best scene I've seen in Once :-O Barbara and Lana are just perfect! I'm pretty sure Cora is lying but damn she's good! And kudos to Regina for how she reacted :) I can't wait for more!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I definitely think it's her crypt. She also says they need to go back into town and both her house and office are in town.

  29. Fantastic. Lana Parrilla and Barbara Hershey are almost too good for words. They transport more with their eyes and facial expressions than others do with their entire acting arsenal. Jane Espenson, queen of one liners strikes again too. The Charmings will forever be "Emma and Henry and the two idiots" for me from now on. I cannot wait for this episode!

  30. Because she doesn't know Archie is alive nor that they know Cora was behind it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Great scene, A+ acting from both of them! I really hope Regina holds her ground and doesn't fall for whatever Cora is up to.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The only idiot in all this is Regina she continued to blame Snow for Daniel's death when she knows very well that was her mommy Cora...

    ReplyDelete
  33. You said it yourself it's her "Mom". It's so much easier to blame Snow !

    ReplyDelete
  34. Didn't Regina think her mother was dead or at the very least unable to return to storybrook?...And since Snow told Regina's secret doesn't she deserve some sort of blame.

    ReplyDelete
  35. they won't do it. Remember in Stable Boy she was equally convincing to little Snow or even later, when she entered the stables catching Regina and Daniel and pretending apologetic "Then who am I to stop you" one minute and then another, ripping Daniel's heart out.
No. And if you notice, she didn't say sorry to Regina for ruining her life and killing her true love. No, she was sorry for "making her marry the king". She's not sincere at all.

Good to see that they did not take the predictable route that I feared("OMG I LUV YOU SO MUCH MOTHER, LET'S BE EVIL AGAIN")

I do hope Regina gets over her mother. talk about complexes.

Can't wait for this episode now, although I am a bit more interested in the outsider storyline right now, because its more mysterious.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I already find her more sympathetic than Rumple. :S

    ReplyDelete
  38. WOW! I so can not wait til this Sunday. "Beyond Words" is the only way I can describe this scene and their acting. I love Regina even more now because she is so emotional in this scene especially when Cora says "I should have never made you marry the king," when she started to get tears in her eyes and put her face down, it was so sad. Not only that but when she said Emma and Henry and the two idiots, I giggled a bit. But the main reason why this scene is the best of them all is because it took place in the Evil Queen's Couture Boudoir hidden away hopefully next to her Vault of Hearts under a mausoleum. How fabulously wicked!

    ReplyDelete
  39. wow... so this is the room where Regina has stored the fairytales clothes. Look at the Queen's dresses and accessories.

  40. This was pretty much the only scene I was looking forward to seeing in this upcoming episode. It was a powerful scene, well-acted, written well, filmed well, etc. But, now I have a dilemma. Why would I stick around for the rest of the show? Nah, I kid! Of course, I'll be watching the whole show! But at least I won't be demanding total silence in my house during this scene, since I saw it here already. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I meant the timeline. I thought snow and emma already went to her before this scene.

    ReplyDelete
  42. They might've been waylaid because of the incident with Hook/Belle/Rumple/Mystery-guest.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Emma and Henry don't know where Regina is. And Emma has to deal with the outsider.

    ReplyDelete
  44. It's a joking one-liner. No need to take it so serious, imo. Regina's changing, but that doesn't mean she's getting a complete personality change and I like it that way.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I noticed that she didn't apologize for killing Daniel, but only for what happened after that too. She killed her daughter's true love right in front of her. As long as she doesn't show any remorse for that I can't see redemption happening either.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Snow got plenty of blame from Regina, despite the fact that that Snow was just a sad, scared little girl who didn't want to lose another potential mommy in her life and got manipulated by Cora just as much as Regina ever did - and Snow already paid the price for Daniel's death, Regina killed Snow's father.

The only person who has never truly paid for Daniel's death was Cora - she was merely sent away to another land where she was Queen and continued her reign of terror.

    ReplyDelete
  47. How could you find Cora more sympathetic than Rumple?

    ReplyDelete
  48. You're actually surprised at this? They show, what? 8 "sneak peeks" before the episode airs almost every week. They might as well just break the whole episode in 5 minute segments and just hand them over to us in order of appearance in the episode.

    ReplyDelete
  49. According to Henry Sr, Rumple is the one who turned Cora into the monster she is. He is the one who taught her dark magic, I guess he needed Cora to become who she is now.
At this point, they're pretty much equally wicked in my books (Cora being slightly more dark & twisted & plain nuts) but I think that after the Cora flashback origin story she'll be more sympathetic.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Why wouldn't I? Cora is crazy and a murderer and abuser, but then, so is Rumple. But he has 300 years of it. Plus he systematically destroyed multiple people's lives just so it would make them act how he wanted. Their motives are almost the same.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Regina orchestrating the death of one of her abusers isn't really the same as Snow 'paying a price' for Daniel's death. Not that I think Snow should. Just that it's really not an equal comparison.

    ReplyDelete
  52. "For you, sweetHEART, anything" (lol)

But the parallel between "You made it so no one believed me" and "You made an air-tight case, anyone would believe it" makes me choke up a little. :(

    ReplyDelete
  53. I am always amazed that... they are so busy all the time... and they have time for haircut (yup, talking about Regina)~ And other characters, their hair + beard never grew longer (must be the curse).

    ReplyDelete
  54. Last week we got 7 Sneak Peeks and this week only this one?!
