Misfits - Renewed for season 5
10 Jan 2013
MisfitsExecutives at E4 have renewed their dramedy series Misfits for a fifth season, which is set to air in late 2013. The size of the order for season five is 8 episodes.
Despite some declines in the ratings, a fifth season renewal for Misfits was considered likely. The production company had already begun staffing the writers room in anticipation of a pick up. As part of that staffing effort, they recruited Mike O’Leary – the writer behind the Misfits : Strung Out web-series as well as the Misfits companion book – to serve on the show’s writing staff for season 5.

Nice one. I was a bit late watching season 4, but think it was definitely back on track after season 3 where I think it wrote itself into a corner it couldn't get out of.
ReplyDeleteGreat news.:-)

ReplyDeleteMiss Kelly, Simon and the old gang but enjoyed Season 4. Looking forward to season 5.
ReplyDeleteMisfits is one of few Tv shows that makes sense to watch.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to see another season of Misfits it has been a long time coming and I am glad it will be shown soon. My only issue and maybe others as well is as follows, the ratings might be lower due to the fact that the original characters were replaced and the newer ones were expected to be received as well as the old cast members were. BIG MISTAKE although I have nothing against the new crew, I would have preferred if I had any say at all; would be to join the old with the new and build a story line from there. The new replacements if you will, are not as strong and let's just say "believable" as the original cast was and in my book still are. I am very anxious to see the new season I hope I will be pleasantly surprised.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Leigh
I agree they were the strongest and the best in my opinion.
