- Dang. I'd like to get paid doctor money to play ping pong. - After watching that second clip, I kind of want Arizona to take her leg off and beat Jackson with it. - I hope Meredith keeps working on Webber and that she doesn't let him get rid of the Hall of Horrors. Every hospital should have one of those.
Ping-Pong - Right? One would hope that since he's a patient during that time, he won't get paid while going through "physical therapy ping-pong".
Jackson - Yeah, he was acting like a tool. It's one thing to professionally argue your case, but another to undermine a fellow doctor, especially one who outranks you. Didn't Jackson just finish his general surgery residency? Since he's mostly doing just plastics cases, he's likely a plastics fellow. A fellow does not trump an attending.
Meredith & Webber - I've always liked their relationship. It seems to have grown/changed into more of a friendship, instead of more fatherly-daughterly. I kinda miss Webber treating Meredith with paternal instincts, though I still like their friendship.
I'm a big fan of Meredith and Webber's relationship as well. Even though it may not be as overt as it once was, I still think those two treat each other like family.
I think Jackson is being arrogantly assertive because he's seemingly the only plastics guy in the hospital now. Maybe they need to bring in another, more experienced doc to deflate his ballooning ego.
Very few of the doctors in SGMW are allowed to go about their business with their ego unchecked. I'd say only Derek. Mark could to a point but Callie and Webber checked him. In fact one of my fave scenes is the one in the OR when Mark is acting Chief and Webber tells him to stand down. Brilliantly written, not condescending, well directed bit of television. Cristina goes for periods unchecked but eventually it happens, with Teddy or with Dr Thomas this season. So it's unlikely that they will let Jackson's arrogance go unchecked. But I'm looking forward to the entertainment. Maybe Constance Zimmer is a plastics person. Jackson is the the only one without a mentor isn't he? I guess he's still a fellow?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Jackson's getting a little big headed and comfortable since Mark passed huh!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, Jackson, finally standing up on his own feet, I like it! And Mer is certainly right to be worried about Richard.

ReplyDeleteI don't know if Mark would agree with Jackson's medical approach, but I think he would approve of his 'tude.... I'm proud.... And I miss Mark...
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving the Mer watching out for Richard moment (work wife and surrogate daughter tag teaming FTW)
thats not like jackson it must be something else i think he may be showing off for stephine thats what it looked like
ReplyDeleteI'd quite like to punch him. Jackson's an idiot, and there I was finally warming to him. Arizona will take him down some way or another.
ReplyDeletethat;s not him standing on his own two feet. That's him standing on a crumbling cliff edge of arrogance. I look forward to the take down.

ReplyDeleteI think Zimmer's character is brought into the hospital because of the fallout from the lawsuit. She seems to share a lot of screen time with Owen.
