  1. If Sherlock is taking a remark from a drug dealer about how to do his job to heart than he may not be as smart as Sherlock Holmes should be.

  2. Have you ever been addicted to anything? Addiction has nothing to do with intelligence, but rather with emotion.

  4. Every situation is different and I don't buy this premise. If he were to relapse, it would have made a lot more sense to do it when he was alone with a bunch of intravenous drugs a few episodes back or when he was faced with a Moriarty case again which was a huge potential trigger. He's resisted much stronger triggers to his addition so far, so a relapse now triggered by an off-handed comment from a lowlife makes little sense.

  5. Keep in mind, this is the episode's description. We still don't know what might or might not trigger him. Besides, he had Watson attached to him the entire time, and he did not have a way to get drugs. Now he has an old dealer showing up, meaning -- a way to get drugs. I reserve any judgement until the episode airs, but from other comments made on the site, it seems to me like you're not a big Elementary fan.

  6. I don't know what comments you've been reading or why the level of my fandom bears any relevance to this conversation but I've seen every episode of Elementary and have enjoyed the vast majority of them.
