CBS's Late Late Show is doing a post-Super Bowl show on February 3 from 11:35pm to 12:37am, and some big names are set to join Craig Ferguson for what's being dubbed The Craig Ferguson Super Bowl Special.
The show, created in 2005 and currently in its ninth season, will be heading to New Orleans, visiting Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, the Tremé District, and other local spots for segments.
Craig Ferguson's guests will be Steve Carell, Neil Patrick Harris, Julie Chen, Nikki Reed and Drew Brees. This is Ferguson's second post-Super Bowl special after hosting one when CBS broadcast the big game in 2007.
Hopefully, Ferguson will explain the process of getting his gay robot skeleton sidekick Geoff Peterson through airport security.

Like during his week in Paris in August 2011 (with Kristen Bell) and his week in Scotland in May 2012 (with Mila Kunis, Rashida Jones, Ariel Tweto and Michael Clarke Duncan), it's worth pointing out that these are some of Ferguson's favorite guests : Neil Patrick Harris has been on The Late Late Show 17 times and Julie Chen has been on the show 20 times. It helps that one stars in a long-running CBS sitcom and the other has two shows on CBS (also, she's married to Craig's boss), but still. Steve Carell has not been on Craig's show that often (5 times) but they seem to like each other, and they are pretty funny together. Nikki Reed must have made a good impression : she had her first time last September, she did it again in November and now she's coming back in February.
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson is laugh-out-loud funny every time, each show is 40 minutes of pure unrehearsed, improvisationnal, genre deconstructing comedy gold. If you love bizarre stuff, double entendres, ambiguous sexuality, self-loathing, plain loathing (at CBS, at the people in the audience, etc), you should watch it.
