  1. Difficult one. I'm doubting between Bryan Cranston and Damian Lewis. The season 1 finale of Homeland is still relatively fresh on my mind and I remember well that I was just blown away by Lewis so my vote goes to him. Aaron Paul is beyond awesome as well.

  2. Jeffrey Donovan is not on the list...something wrong with this pole.

  3. Bryan Cranston, Damian Lewis and Aaron Paul. Tim Olyphant and Jon Hamm should be on this list also.

  4. From the shows above I watch just GoT, Psych and (used to watch) Leverage. I think all the actors from them are pretty good. Don't have a favorite.

  5. Bryan Cranston, Damian Lewis and Aaron Paul.

But why is Andrew Lincoln not in the poll, he should be (LOL Psych actors, seriously?!).

  6. @twitter-375135445:disqus Maybe the person who submitted this poll does not watch Burn Notice?

Oh and it's Poll not pole ;)

  7. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul followed very closey by

  8. My vote went to Peter Dinklage followed by Iain Glenn and (even though they're not here) Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead.

  9. Woooo! Psych FTW! Only show here I watch. But I am gonna watch breaking bad and homeland and dexter eventually

  10. I like a lot of people here, so I've randomly just voted for James Roday to show Psych some support! But Damian Lewis, Peter Dinklage, Steve Buscemi and Dulé Hill would've been great choices as well :)

  11. Bryan Cranston, Damian Lewis, Aaron Paul, Timothy Olyphant, Walton Goggins, Jon Hamm, Peter Dinklage, Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Steve Buscemi, Kim Coates (SoA), William H. Macy, Charles Dance, and Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire/Parades End).

I also like Michael C. Hall, Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell alot, but they are not in the same league as the others.

  12. Dule Hill and James Roday but no Olyphant or Macht?

I'm glad there's no Andrew Lincoln though, I've always thought he is an incredibly poor lead.

  13. There are a lot of great actors on this list but my vote goes easily to Bryan Cranston who i consider the best actor on any current tv show.

  14. Cranston it is, but I quite like Steve Buscemi, Damien Lewis, Aaron Paul from the list....

I would add Tim Dekay, Timothy Olyphant, Walton Goggins, Liev Schreiber, Don Cheadle, Michael Shannon, and Jared Harris (although he died on his two shows this year).

  15. I voted for Peter Dinklage, but also would have voted for Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and Charlie Hunnam. Oh, and Damian Lewis.
If Timothy Olyphant or Walton Goggins had made the list I would have voted for them.

So many talented actors, it is hard to choose.

Despite it being on my list of "must sees" for a while now I haven't seen Breaking Bad but all I've ever hear is how awesome Cranston is in that.

That said, have to go with Peter Dinklage. In season 1 any of his speeches on their own deserve him being considered one of the top actors.

  17. I would probably vote for B.C., but I have yet to see Breaking Bad (I know, shame on me! -It's on my summer list!)

So setting him and other BB actors aside I will vote for Steve Buscemi, Michael C. Hall, Peter Dinklage, and Damian Lewis from this list.

But not on this list I would add: Michael Shannon, Bobby Carnival (season 3 only), John Hamm, Jack Huston, Alexander Skarsguard, Dennis O' Hare, Stephen Graham, Mandy Patinkin, and Ray Stevenson (Season 7 only)!

  18. Bryan Cranston, by far. Next is Aaron Paul.

  19. If I hadn't started watching Breaking Bad two weeks ago, Dinklage would have gotten my vote for sure. Part of what sets Cranston above Dinklage is that Cranston is the lead, while Dinklage is just part of an ensemble cast so he doesn't get nearly as much screen time.

  20. This is easily the most difficult poll that's been asked so far. I can't just pick one because they're so many amazing actors here.

I did end up choosing Peter Dinklage though. However other ones that vie for the top position include: Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Michael C. Hall, and Andrew Lincoln (Rick from TWD, not listed here). Those 5 are phenomenal actors that blow away most everyone else on this list.

  21. Really? I thought Andrew Lincoln was incredibly strong this season, and pretty good the first 2.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Bryan Cranston and Peter Dinklage are really good, but everyone else in this list are amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  23. To be fair, I only really watch Game of Thrones... but I think that Peter Dinklage is absolutely fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  24. How about Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead)?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Honest question, why was Glenn chosen over others on GoT?
And of course, Bryan Cranston is the best actor. :)

  26. Hi Baff, how far did you get in BB? I just watched 3.05. I abselutely loved the last 5 episodes of season 2 and I´m kind of waiting for season 3 to kick of. It is starting a bit slow. I need more scenes with Jesse/Walter.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm on 4.11 now. As it goes on Jesse and Walt seem to get fewer scenes, though they remain the focus of the show, especially Walt. There are just more and more side characters to follow.

After watching 3-10 episodes/day it is going to be real hard to wait 6 months for the final half season. I may have to start smoking meth just to get my fix.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ha, I hope not.

Oh, no, I´m not happy to hear that at all. I like Jesse and Walt together. I don´t find the side characters in BB very interesting. Not like Justified were most of the characters are interesting however small they are.

I´m rewatching Game of Thrones season 2 now, so I have to wait a few days to move on with BB.

  29. I was almost physically hurting trying to choose between Bryan Cranston and Michael C. Hall. Finally went w/Cranston, but really it's a tie as far as I'm concerned.

  30. Matt Bomer, no question. I was sure that he will have a great career the moment I saw him on the screen...and considering the last time I got this feeling was when I saw Heath Ledger in "Connor" and the time before was when I saw Pierce Brosnan in "Remington Steele", I have a 100 % guess-quote.

  31. Bryan Cranston. One of those rare occasions where I agree completely with the Emmy voters. He deserves every award he has got for that show.
