  4. 1 & 2 season were great, 3 so, so but i totally hate this one. I'm just tired that they care about all that teenage crap, even after some of them became vampires. they can do whatever they want and yet they still want to go to school or care if sb sees them drinking champagne ;/ god I miss true blood

  5. C'mon girls, people in love are doing crazy things and acting like 15 years old highschool lovers . I keep watching this show because of Caroline and Klaus.

    ReplyDelete
  6. It's... a teen drama on The CW. What exactly did you expect?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm trying really hard to get past the whole hypocrite thing when I see stuff like this but it's difficult. Very difficult.

  8. Caroline should be ashamed of herself. She judges Elena and Damon but is getting all lovey with the worst mass murderer in their species history. Way to go writers, you have turned a fan favorite character to this....

I hope Tyler dumps her, he deserves better.

  9. I totally agree with everything !! oh and about school , I don't understand why they say that they're still going because we never see them at school ! It seems that they've been in highschool for so long

  10. that's because timeline in VD is completely f*** up and julie plec herself doesn't know what month or day is currently on the show. and JP told in once interview that school is only background but ironicly it plays veeeery important part in those girl life. besides I can't understand why would anyone choose to go to school willingly even after he/she wouldn't have to. it's beyond ridiculous. and I really hate what they're doing to klaus when he was introduced i had such high hopes for him, especially when at the same time damon became irritating with his pining after elena and acting like an insecure puppy. klaus was the most powerful, 1000 years old villain who simply enjoys his life and destroying everybody's else around, but of course they had to destroy him also. they made a 1000 years old hybrid fall for common barbie teenager, who doesn't even know who picasso was and despite being a vampire still want to go to school.... klaus is at his best when he tears people apart or destroys their lifes, not when he draws horses for a girl who doesn't deserves him. i know that caroline fans will probably eat me alive for this but not everybody has to like barbie girls

  11. what do you expect? VD is on a network that targets the vapid teenybopper demographic so of course there is going to be teenage crap like this. remember when TVD was epic like 2x21. but I still prefer TVD's storylines over True Blood anyday

  12. True Blood's writing and plotting have been horrid for almost two full seasons now so I definitely agree.

  13. All I think of when I watch a scene like this is "he killed Jenna". Kinda takes the fun out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Not only did he kill Jenna but Jenna died because she was Caroline's replacement. If it weren't for Damon rescuing both Caroline and Tyler, Klaus would have sacrificed them instead.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Is she still acting like her and Tyler are broke up?? Can't remember where that story was going?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yes. Klaus believes that Caroline is single. I'm wondering how long it will be before fiction becomes fact.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh come on guys. You and I both know that her heart still belongs to Tyler. SO what she flirted a little, she's a teenage girl- of course she is gonna do that. Keep in mind that Elena still did some subtle flirting with Damon (especially in season 3) even after he killed her brother, tried to kill her best friends and even herself. Yes, that doesn't cross out the fact that Klaus is more diabolical and dangerous, however, he has proven himself to never hurt Caroline. The same treatment can't be extended, her friends have tried to kill him as much as he did them and he owe doesn't them anything.

Its just flirting and a mild attraction. Character bash all you want, but its double standard AND hard to ignore the fact that they have a strong chemistry.

In regards to Klaus, every deed is forgivable and anyone can be redeemed.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Isn't all of this part of their plan to take Klaus down though? Like pretend that TC are done.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Damon killed Vicki, try to kill Caroline twice (And the other thousand of people who were probably mothers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers...)...Oh, let's not forget our dear Stefan and his Reaper days...Shall I add something more? This's a vampire show, for god sakes.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The plan was to pretend that Tyler and Caroline broke up. No one ever said anything about Caroline playing nice with Klaus. She's doing that all on her own and I doubt she's faking it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Perfect. Hypocrite is the perfect word for Caroline lately. I really star hating her.
Don't get me wrong, I like her. A lot. Since she turned, she became great. Strong and independent, self-confident and just amazing. But lately … She is giving Elena and Damon a hard time (like they can control their emotions) and at the same time she's all sweet and charming with Klaus. If it would be just one of them, I'd say O.K.
I mean, she has all reasons to be pissed at Damon. And Klaus is trying hard to get under
her skin, so I can't blame a 18 years old naïve kid. But together … I could strangle her with my bare hands. She is giving Damon a hard time over every single small mistake he ever made, but she's very eager to forget what Klaus did. Maybe she should take a walk on the cemetery or take a good look at her friends.

    ReplyDelete
  22. "Caroline should be ashamed of herself" Love you. I feel the same way.
Agree. In S2 and S3 Caroline was a fanfav. People liked her more than Bonnie, some even more than Elena. Now she a fucking hypocrite.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Agree, honey.
    About everything. JP, school, …
They ruined Klaus by trying to make him "good" or "better". Sorry, not buying it. But with Klaus they also ruined Caroline.

    ReplyDelete
  24. How she's acting lately I'd say, Ty is better off without her.
O.K., Damon isn't a sanit. Neither is Stefan. And Damon didn't do it for fun. Klaus is. He is
simply enjoying ruining other people's lives.
Maybe I'll sound like a 10 years old, but: Klaus started it. You said, that Klaus wouldn't
hurt Caroline, but her friends tried to kill him several times. Maybe because he killed their loved ones and destroyed their lives. I know some people can be so unforgiving for no reasons. Maybe we should ask Jenna what she thinks about it. Or Tyler. Or Elena. Or the kids Klaus killed for fun. What about Stefan when Klaus forced him to kill the girl he loves. Or Ty when he almost killed his girl on her birthday … As I said. They have no reason to kill Klaus.

    ReplyDelete
  25. On some level, I get why Caroline is having such a strong, hypocritical reaction to Elena and Damon. It's not just because she dislikes Damon. She's projecting her own feelings and her own situation with Tyler and Klaus onto Elena's situation with Stefan and Damon. She may not even realize she's doing it. Caroline is insecure, confused, and a little scared about her own relationship and she's acting out to compensate.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I don't think her relationship has anything to do with her opinion about Damon. I mean, she's not holding any grudges for what he did to her in S1, but she's not gonna forget it. She never spend enough time around him to see his good side and she is stuck with her opinion about him. She's just afraid he will take advantage of Elena and hurt her in the end. Since she turned she acted like tis toward Damon (believing he is evil, selfish, uncaring, ignoring him if she could). No matter, if she was single, or with Matt or Tyler.

But I agree that she is worried about her relationship with Ty, that suffered severe damage by killing Chris and her date with Klaus.

    ReplyDelete
  27. "I don't think her relationship has anything to do with her opinion about Damon."

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that Caroline's opinion of Damon isn't the only reason she's reacting to this so strongly. Part of this is because Elena's situation is bringing up issues in Caroline's own relationship and the combination of the two are causing an extreme reaction on her part.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Without a doubt Elenas sire bond to Damon brought back something from her own time with Damon. She was compelled and was his puppet. She's afraid he's using Elena. And she remembers how Tyler was when he was sired to Klaus. That's why she's reacting that way.

But, sorry, I don't see a connection between Caroline/Tyler and Elena/Damon. If that's what you meant.

Maybe you meant that she was happy with Tyler like Elena was with Stefan. Klaus got between them and ruined it, like Damon got between Elena and Stefan. Is it that?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Let me explain the parallels this way.

    - Elena falls in love with the good guy, Stefan. But Stefan comes with a lot of baggage and that baggage is named Damon. In the same way, Caroline falls in love with Tyler and Tyler's baggage comes in the form of Klaus.
    - Caroline feels that Elena and Stefan's love is "epic" and she sees her own relationship with Tyler the same way.
    - Slowly but surely Elena and Caroline get to know the "baggage" their guy comes with and their opinion starts to change.
    - In spite of their reputations and past deeds feelings start to develop between the girls and the "baggage" in their relationships.
    - Eventually, Elena (being further along in her relationship) cultivates feelings for the other guy (Damon) that are just as strong as her feelings for Stefan. Due to situational circumstances and an ever-growing bond, Elena eventually falls for the bad guy, a.k.a. "the baggage."

Caroline's situation with Tyler and Klaus is mirroring What happened with Elena, Stefan, and Damon every step of the way and Caroline is afraid that what is happening in Elena's life will happen to her as well. That's why Caroline's reaction is so extreme - she's worried about the implications for her own relationship.
EDIT: What Caroline is doing is defined by psychologists as "projecting."

    ReplyDelete
  30. "Caroline's situation with Tyler and Klaus is mirroring What happened with Elena, Stefan, and Damon every step of the way" With the little differences, that Damon (although he admitted his feelings for Elena) never tried to sabotage Stefans relationship with Elena and, more important, he never tried to force Stefan into almost killing his girl.

And besides: Damon was never as bad as Klaus. Damon always had a good side (we saw it in flashbacks, when he was human), that was for a while buried under his selfish and self-righteous behavior. Klaus never had a good side. JP is just trying to make him better, so she can keep him on the show. But I think, these "I'm a lovable teddy bear, hug me, love me" shit he is performing for Caroline is nothing but a show. If he just wants to get her in bed, he can compel her. It's that what he normally does.

    ReplyDelete
  31. With different characters there will always be different details. The story beats, however, are the same. We're not comparing people, we're comparing the situations. Both relationships are taking the same basic path. The parallels are easy to spot.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Exactly. This scenario is what makes it difficult for me to be on board with Klaroline.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Of course the situations are similar, but the characters are different. That is my point. Not even at his worst Damon could be compared to Klaus. When Damon attacked or killed, he normally just reacted. Like, when he killed Jeremy. He never enjoyed it, like Klaus. It was second or third ep of S3, I think. The party before new school year started. Klaus killed (and made Stefan kill) Elenas friends for fun.

That is my problem with Caroline and Klaus. After all he did to her and her friends, she is willing to trust him? To listen to his bullshit? I couldn't stand being in the same room with him. And she's talking to him all sweet and charming like they are friends.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Caroline showed a predisposition for liking bad guys before she became a vampire. It's probably part what drew her to Damon back then. Caroline has cleaned up most of her insecure, mean girl act since then but part of her personality was bound to carry over into her vampire life. Her penchant for bad / dangerous / tortured /brooding guys apparently didn't go away when she got her fangs.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Guess she did. But, as I already said it, there are two kinds of "bad guys". The one kind steals money and cars, drinks and sometimes gets in a fight. The other kind are psychopathic serial killers.

Although: I wouldn't say that Matt is a bad guy. And she was happy with him. She tried to get back with him after she turned and accepted her new life. And Ty? He was an ass. But after he became wolf he changed.

I don't mind Caroline having a thing for bad boys. Every teenage girl has it. But Klaus is just too much. Overkill.

  36. Season 1, Damon terrorized vicky, attacking her multiple times and even killed her and turned her into a vampire JUST BECAUSE. How is that not him doing terrible things for fun.

I don't think its fair to say that tyler is better off with caroline. She has supported him and his mission entirely. Yes, she did it with questionable actions (her date with Klaus- as a ruse to keep him from being aware the plan) but she did it for Tyler, not because she likes klaus (which she doesn't- in a romantic sense anyway). Besides, Tyler isn't innocent- he flirts with Haley just as much as Caroline flirts with Klaus- NO one is innocent in this.

Need i remind you, before Klaus even entered into Mystic Falls season 1, they were already coming up with plans to kill him and even went to implement it ( bonnie trying to kill him in Alaric's body) - so technically they started it first

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yes, he terrorized Vicky. He apologized to Jeremy for what he did. And more important, it's not his usual program for an evening if there isn't anything good in TV. Besides, he changed. Big time. He proved his good side enough times by helping others and risking his life. All since S1. Can you say anything like that about Klaus? I don't think so.

Please, don't get me wrong. They were great. She was great. She was his friend and the one he could trust. She was there for him when he needed her most. When he was just wolf and was afraid of the painful transformation. And although it started out just as sex, they are a great couple. I meant that lately he is better off without her. I mean, is there a person in MF that in one way or another didn't suffer because of Klaus? Barely. And that is the guy she hangs out with?

Yes, she agreed on the date cause she wanted something from Klaus. And she didn't liked him. But she is beginning to like him. And she seems to forget what he did.

That Tyler and Hayley thing was just an act they performed for Klaus. At least it started that way. It didn't help the Tyler/Caroline relationship that she teamed up with Klaus and the others to kill a hybrid friend of Tys. And he is not sleeping with Hayley. They were together on the festival and they didn't even kiss (or did I miss that part?).

It was S2. S1 was about the tomb and the vampires inside the tomb. And of course they planned to kill Klaus from the beginning. It's been a while, so correct me if I'm wrong. But if I remember correct it was Elijah that showed up in MF and told Elena and the brothers, that Klaus want's to kill Elena and he needs to be stopped. If someone shows at your door and says to you: "My brother want's to kill you, help me kill him first", what would you do?
