ReplyDeleteNikita!!! o/
ReplyDeleteMalibu Country seems to stable now, so I'm happy about that! Ratings even seemed to go up, I think.
ReplyDeleteagreed ;)
ReplyDeleteit will be renewed now. I think it was already going to do with 0.3, but a 0.4 seals it. Syndication pull is too big a 0.4 on a friday is a 0.5 on another night which judging by the overall state of the cw excluding the triology of tvd, supernatural and arrow, is pretty bad.
ReplyDeleteNikita! Happy with the ratings. It just needed a decent time. Plus ANTM has got to be the worst lead in for an action show
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right!
ReplyDeletego go nikita!
ReplyDeleteI Guess This Is a Goodbye, for NIkita this season.
ReplyDeleteGuys, do not forget CULT and Carrie Diaries :). If they beat Nikita, clearly Nikita will be cancelled... or maybe CW will renew Nikita for syndic next year... but that would be a stupid decision to me. :/
ReplyDeleteWas hoping for a bigger rise in Nikita's numbers, but eh, we'll take what we can get.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't bet against Nikita getting a season 4 renewal even if it drops to 0.2 because of syndication. The question will be whether it airs during regular programming or is burned off in the summer.
ReplyDeleteNo question it will be renewed. However, I'm not sure you can say the CW has the same kind of Friday factor that other networks have. The CW ratings are too low across the board. Besides, Friday factor should be mostly negated by Live +7 numbers and I thought Nikita was bottom or next to it in those too for the CW.
ReplyDeletearrow rules:))
ReplyDeletecompared to other comedies, this show is doing just fine. Maybe if it gets a second season they will move it to a better night.
ReplyDeleteYAY NIKITA!!!!! BEST SHOW EVER!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you talking about. Nikita returns on friday at 8/7c with a new episode again. And yes it will be renewed noway warner/CW is gonna throw away money from Nikita they can earn with Nikita in syndication with 88 ep i even think it could get the Fringe treatment and go up to 100 ep.
ReplyDeletego Nikita!!!! thx Jesus for beter ratings!!!
ReplyDeleteNikita is averaging a 0.5 with DVR Live+7
ReplyDeletecompared to the rest of the line up (approximate numbers)
TVD-2.0
Arrow-1.6
SPN-1.4
Beauty-0.9
HOD-0.8
90210-0.6
GG-0.6
no clue about Emily Owens I would guess around a 0.5
Yay Nikita, the most smart show on the CW, !!
ReplyDeleteThe new time slot for Nikita was the best decision CW ever made, besides renewing the show.
ReplyDeleteLive+7 are irrelevant to renewals, they are just for P&R purposes. The C3 ratings are the ones that count, but those are not available and are typically insignificant, regardless of it being a friday show or not, as these count just the people who record the shows and watch it with all the adds within three days of airing. Still, even if you decrease the friday factor for the cw (i think 35% for most nets sounds about right) to something close to 20%, which is almost half, nikita is still not performing that badly when put in comparison with the others. add to that the syndication factor, which I am guessing is worth at least some 50%, it goes to the top4/5 of cw shows most likely to be renewed
ReplyDeleteI know that Live +7 ratings are irrelevant. I wasn't using them to talk about renewal prospects. For Nikita not even C3 is important because it will all come down to whether the WB believes syndication will cover the cost of producing another season. I was only using Live +7 numbers to prove that Nikita (and the CW as a whole) doesn't really have a Friday factor. It's ratings are low all across the board. For instance, Supernatural got decent ratings in Nikita's spot last year but they are getting better average demos this year. However, there hasn't been a huge change in the Live +7 numbers if I remember right (tvmonkey can correct me if I am wrong). The same number of people are watching. Thus using Nikita's Live +7 numbers, I believe it is unlikely that Nikita's ratings would suddenly soar if it were moved to a different night. Maybe it could get a 0.5 once or twice but most likely it would get a 0.4 tops and 0.3's in the spring.
ReplyDeleteNo way they are going to renew Nikita for 2 more years unless they already have a lucrative syndication deal in place. If that's the case, then they should just shuffle Nikita off to the summer already. It would get its necessary number of episodes and not take up space on the CW schedule.
ReplyDeleteI get your point yeah. But I still don't think you can use Live+7 to measure friday factor. For me, friday factor is "how much lower will networks tolerate rating on a friday?" for which those ratings are still meaningless. On the issue of "should we move the show to another night", then i believe those ratings are useful!
ReplyDeletego Nikita!!
ReplyDeleteCSI NY is still doing very well for Friday Nights! This season has really been good...CBS - if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Leave Friday's line-up just as it is!
