Loved it. A great ep to get into the holiday mood - even from just seeing Castle's Xmas decorations...man he sure loves Christmas... lol Nice bits for everyone, even for Gates and Lanie who we don't always get to see that often..
A really great episode. That middle scene was sooooo sad. Really great acting by Stana and Nathan. Those two have always nailed emotional scenes so well. Castle was understandably upset about the truth behind Beckett having to work on Christmas, but she was still being considerate to another officer. Poor Esposito got involved in a Santa smackdown.
That last scene was PERFECT. Probably one of the best Caskett moments, only rivaled by the finale scene last season.
I loved it! Aww at Castle and Beckett deciding to create a new tradition.
LOL at Gates and her issues with her mother-in-law. And am I supposed to believe she doesn't know about Castle/Beckett? Because they're not that great at hiding it. She has to know.
Aww at Ryan and Jenny trying to have a baby! Wish Esposito had gone to see Lanie, but it was sweet that he decided to have dinner with the single mom and her son. (Are they going to start going out or something? I doubt it, but that was weird.)
For me it was a bit disappointing, to be honest. The episode's motif had a lot of potential, but I don’t feel like it was squeezed as much as it could. I didn’t see as much romance as I expected to, and on top of that the case was pretty weak.
However, I did find the second-to-last scene very cute and special, and I love that Gates is featured more and more each week!
Can we fast-forward to January? Can't wait to watch 510!
Really liked it. Castle's Christmas decorations made me fell like I'd forgotten to put up a tree at all. Loved everything about this ep...the murder mystery, the character stuff, and that the fam decided to stay with Castle. It was really nice to see the new Captain get more to do...she was so invisible at the start of the season.
re: Castle/Beckett hiding their romance. The ONLY disappointment I had was the elevator scene. I was rooting for another sexy handshake.
I would have liked for Esposito to go see Lanie, but I thought Lanie's telling him to call her after the holidays was awesome. It was the promise of something more meaningful....which appealed to my romantic side.
It was an awesome episode. Totally Christmas spirit with Castle all excited and the decorations. The loft was just a dream. I wish my apartment looked like his. And the last scene ... the last scene with caskett guys. It was perfect. Kate was so happy. And the kiss. I could talk about this scene for hours. I already watched it many times and I'll keep watching it over and over till January 7.
Awww, that was an adorable episode, and it was just so Castle. Yes, it got dark at some point, but the ending was just so sweet and meaningful. A truly wonderful Christmas gift from Castle cast and crew.
I loved it!!! there were so many small gifts to us but the caskett moments stole the show for me. The kiss at the end was filled with so much love, more so than any other kiss we have seen, it was just so simple. I really hope Stana, Nathan and Castle win their people choice awards cause with acting and story lines like these they truely deserve it. Cant wait for episodes in Januray
I was a little bit confused by my tv guides info on this episode. It said that castle and beckett work on their xmas list together...but that definitely didn't happen. Can anyone explain this?
I think they did. The way I understand it, the list is not the "let's decorate this, let's buy that" kinda list. It's more like "this is my tradition and that is yours," and in the end, they agree on the same new things for christmas
Did we watch the same episode? They didn't buy anything together,or decorate anything! In the end they were both trying to make each other happy, her by leaving work to be with him at home, and Castle left his house to be with Beckett at work.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteFor me it was an ok episode.wasn't anything spectacular. I felt more for Espo, was happy he was invited to stay for dinner.
ReplyDeleteNo, they did not, but Nicole asks 'bout their Xmas list, and that's what I get from her question.
ReplyDeleteThen i misread it,sorry!
ReplyDeleteOne thing was missing was Kate saying I Love You back to Rick which is to me way too long from happening.
ReplyDeleteSuch a nice episode. :) I liked it a lot!
