Loved every seconds of it! Except maybe for the sister being a bitch again but I'm really glad she admitted it at the end^^;
Just one question; how come no one at the hospital noticed he received arrows in the back? Unless he was wearing like a bullet proof vest knowing he was going against a pretty big fish
Not sure what to vote yet... probably will go with just OK, because I was expecting to be surprised by the Dark Arrow's identity, and to me Malcolm Merlin was the obvious choice. When I saw the promo last week I was all "that's Tommy's dad". So, it was one huge let down. Aside from that I liked it. Not my favorite one, maybe it would've been all right if next week there was a new episode, not so much so for a... winter finale was it that they called it? Oh well, I did love the Ollie/Thea scenes at the dinner and in the hospital, and was shocked by Moira delivering Walter like that at the end. And I'm VERY glad the island flashbacks are back, I missed them the last couple of episodes ;)
this was a pushing episode for me to much info presented at the same time little confusing but OK the best part the shooting arrows scene the accuracy impeccable if i saw two person in the alley fighting like that the only thing left for me will be something not to funny,..HA,.HA,.HA..MAY BE ..YAK,.YAK,.YAK
So, Oliver has steel lungs huh?? how could he have 2 arrows in his back and be like nothing!!, with no even a bandage on his back, I guess the doctors didn't notice the holes, I must be honest, I wasn't bored, but I only enjoyed the last 10 minutes of the episode.
U know the producers r making this mystery stuff easy on us comic book fans lol. I was like 90% sure Malcolm Merlyn was Dark Archer and it makes sense lol. i LOVED malcolm calling him the Green Arrow! Great for u writers haha i was so happy and then oliver goes eh lame lol. O man. Also the fights were really great good to see deathstroke again quickly and glad he'll be more in the future with new guy. As slade hopefully we'll get more insight and depth but i still want him to be deathstroke. Good fights with Dark Archer and Arrow! I was a little confused tho on the ending of what oliver was saying. So he's going after the guy who wrote the list when before he thought it was his father? Y? im gonna rewatch this tomorrow but hmmm. Also good for the rest of the cast including Thea and Det. Lance they had big parts. Barrowman is like straight out bad guy and admits it man lol more straight then Lionel luthor. Definitely different people.
I'm sure diggle got him first, but even a ''glass'' excuse doesn't seem to add up for doctors. With glass I don't think you have couple of perfect little holes. Maybe he had a bullet proof^^;
Loved this episode... so many great moments. Felt kinda bad for Shawn.. Was happy that the stunt guy playing evil archer was the same size as John Barroman. Isn't there is a type of kevlar that's thin enough for Oliver to use in his costume? But I don't know if it would stop arrows or not. :-) I love the actor that plays Walter so much that it annoys me when they have to pull him off the canvas but I do appreciate that they didn't kill him off. Funniest moment... Oliver going to the IT department to find out about an arrow.
My only issue was with the flashbacks...there was something missing...a lack of internal structure that bugged me. It felt like something was missing. Overall that was a minor point, though.
I assumed the doctors knew exactly what they were treating but Digg made sure they didn't say anything to the family. And since arrow wounds don't have to be reported to the police.... Then again if Digg dug the arrowheads out of Oliver's back he might have done enough damage so that the doctor couldn't say that the wounds weren't from a motorcycle accident. (loved that Oliver took advantage of the situation to make Thea feel guilty about 'chasing him away from the party'.
Pretty good ep that I gave a great to mostly for the action and the island backstory, the rest felt off (acting wise and perhaps trying to cram a ton of story in 42 minutes) the Dark Archer reveal wasn't a surprise at all, and I echo the lack of believability with Oliver getting 3-4 arrows in his back and leg and no suspicion from the doctors - also, with the DA's arrows being made of something tougher than carbon fiber, he certainly would not have broken the shafts like that so easily without seriously injuring himself internally with the viscious tips those things had... otherwise a fairly entertaining ep
I need to watch the pilot again, didn't he go shot at by a bullet in the premiere and was knock out for couple of seconds before being fine? If he was there'S only one explanation. I really need to check this scene again
Finally watched the episode... I thought it was good though I don't really get the Dark Archer story line I guess I will have to read up on it a bit. I love how motorcycle accident can be used to cover up any injury including being beaten and stabbed by arrows. Oliver kind of confuses me though, it's hard to know who the 'real' Oliver is because he's always wearing a mask (or I should say hood) whether he is with his friends, family or of course being green arrow. I think the only time we see who he really is is when he is with Diggle.
He seemed to make a point of saying "HIM", Last time he did that was when Helena turned out to be the "gunman", so obviously a woman is behind it all. Will Ollie have to send his own mother down?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Freaking fantastic!!!!!

ReplyDeleteOh man how did I not know there was a new episode this week? I assumed that since Supernatural was done for the year, Arrow was too!

ReplyDeleteThis show is good but for a finale (even if it isn't for log) this wasn't much of an interesting cliffhanger
ReplyDeleteSame. Good episode, but not really very cliffhangery.
