'New Girl' scoop: Disney Channel star cast in love interest role
Brenda Song, who starred on The Suite Life with Zack and Cody and its spinoff The Suite Life on Deck, has been cast in a recurring role this season on the comedy hit.
The actress will play Daisy, an intense and hugely competitive young woman who dislikes “quitters” and becomes interested in Winston (Lamorne Morris) after seeing him strike out with Holly (fellow newcomer on the show Brooklyn Decker) at the bar. Song most recently had an arc on ABC’s Scandal and had a big screen turn in The Social Network.
In other New Girl casting news, the series recently signed Nate Corddry (The Daily Show) for a guest-star role, playing a guy who creeps out Jess (Zooey Deschanel) later this season.

I approve this casting. She's gorgeous and I've been eager to see her in an adult role that lasts for more than a single scene.
