An episode on a Sunday? Are you sure?
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't been confirmed Zap2it listed it will let everybody know :)
ReplyDeleteHawaii Five O doesn't have the Superbowl episode but it might be after a playoff game.
ReplyDeletethe show that has the superbowl is Elementary
ReplyDeletesuperbowl final is feb 3th
ReplyDeleteThe Superbowl is on Feb 3rd, but on Sunday 20th they have the AFC Conference Final (that's like a 50 ML lead-in), so that might be a good reason to air Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteThe AFC Championship Game--which a previous poster referred to--doesn't air on CBS (H50's US Broadcast Network); it's the NFC Championship Game that airs on CBS.
ReplyDeleteI think, at least in 2013, both games are scheduled to be played on Sunday January 20th (as others have said, the Super Bowl airs on February 3rd). This would account for the possible/likely Sunday airing of H50 on January 20th, 2013.
CBS also aired H50 following their airing of the NFC Championship Game during H50 S1--that was the night Kai e'e' (Tidal Wave), Ep 115, initially aired in the US. That was the ep about Honolulu being placed under a tsunami warning which Five-0 discovered was fake, meant to cover up for a robbery of the HPD Asset Forfeiture Locker by a disgruntled member of the US Coast Guard who didn't feel he got what he was entitled to after he & others in the Coast Guard helped HPD with a big drug bust. It was also the ep during which the team discovered that their $10 Million theft from the Asset Forfeiture Locker, in order to save Chin's life when he was attached to a bomb collar a few episodes before, had been replaced by someone then-unknown to them (who later turned out to be Governor Jameson).
My point is, since CBS is airing the NFC Championship Game on January 20th, & they've aired H50 after that game in an earlier season, it's entirely possible/likely they're doing it again this season & it hasn't yet been officially announced to the general public/viewing audience. So I would NOT discount this January 20th air date as being an error just yet.
