"The plan is going to reset time." So what?? We end up back in the blue universe back at the beginning thus erasing the whole show!! WHAT?? AHHH! How can they do that?
we dont know much of anything yet but it does seem like peter is gonna be saved maybe bridging the two universe's will fix this all somehow i dont know
I'm hoping the resetting time thing will just send them back to that day where the Observers took over, only they won't take over this time. I don't want the entire show erased. Looks amazing regardless!
Reset time!!! Maybe Peter in this universe will be saved so Walter doesn't (or didn't or won't, not sure anymore) have to go to another universe. Then what will happen to the Peter-Olivia relationship? Massive headache!!!
Resetting time won't change anything if they still don't know how to kill the observers...If they come back before the invasion without knowing how to kill them, it's useless....
All of you are weird... for the first time this season, I actually felt that it's gonna get GOOD, Fringe-good! And also for the first time this season, I trust that they will provide us with an amazing final 3 hours that will define this show, even if every single event for the past 97 episodes is erased!
Totally agree. The entire season was quite slow so far, with some great moments, but nothing like that season 3 feeling that something great is about to happen, or nothing too emotionally intense.
The thing I don't get is how resetting time is going to help them. We don't know if Observers are our current future, in fact I believe they are not. With the invasion, they'll never be created, at least not in the original way I suppose. So it makes me wonder, why resetting time? Unless it's resetting time and hiding them our universe or timeline or whatever.
I agree ! I don't want the same thing that BSG 2003 ending, and I have this huge fear for the series finale. All those sacrifices, all those tears, those discoveries, I don't want all that being ereased. Fringe doesn't deserve this, Fringe already lived this with creating a Peter-less timeline. For me, Fringe ending must move forward, not only about the story, but the characters too. I want Walter accepting who he is (no more remorse please), Peter/Walter relationship healed, Lincoln back in our universe and being highly involved in the cases, Donald-September (alive and human) and Simon Foster alive.
If they have to reset the time, it has to be when Etta was taken to Peter and Olivia, this is when destruction of humanity started.
All I can think now is that September is Donald, wow...I've never imagined that...I mean I wondered where is septembes all this time, now it makes sense, and by the looks of the promo I do believe that Michael is September also...it makes perfect sense, it's all about paradoxes, that means that donald is september that is Michael and that was September that saved himself by traveling in time....
Here's my theory: The plan to defeat the observers is to reset the time, but not only that. Observers are already by nature a temporal paradox, they should not exist, but they exist. by invading and dominating their past, they should have practically destroyed their future, causing them to get stuck in the past, unless they have created some kind of "bridge" to keep their future intact and connected with our past, something more structured that a wormhole as Walter and Peter did at the end of season 3 with the machine. So before resetting the time, the Fringe team has to destroy this bridge to prevent the observer's return, perhaps in this case to destroy the alternate future they came from. I just do not know yet how Michael is important .. and perhaps in this episode, Windmark would travel to the future, that would be nice
Given the flashbacks in the last episode, I imagine whatever happens next will probably involve Peter. It also looked to me like they were aging the child Observer to adulthood.
I have the feeling Fringe could end a la evangelion, wich is so unsettling.
I think that maybe the time erasure won't erase Olivia,Peter, Walter and Astrid's memories, or maybe one of them will remember everything (like SG1 Unending)
But I would not be terribly disappointed if everyone forgets, for me the story has always been about the bonds, and how they trascended universes and timelines. It doesn't matter how they get torn apart, they always find each other, and that's always been the beauty for me.
I have a feeling that the universe is gonna be reset so that the observers never existed. With September never existing to distract Walternate, he would have been able to cure Peter of his illness. Therefore Walter had confidence to move on since at least in one universe Peter survives. Then the series ends when somehow a safe bridges is made between worlds (and Olivia meets Peter for the first time).
I also wondered if the Observers took over in the alternate universe. Maybe we'll get to see aged up alternates of Olivia and Walternate. As well as the return of Lincoln.
I am terrified I won't like the ending! Where they reset (if they reset) will make it or break it for me (along with who survives). I always get really nervous if a show may reset. The character growth, their connections, and memories are so important to me!
Also, don't want September to have never existed. :(
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI think that reseting time they could make the boy live (the boy = Henry). I never understand how could they just erase his existence.
