Chicago Fire recently filmed a fake plane crash that was so convincing, one local Chicago news station reported the accident as breaking news!
News anchors Larry Potash and Robin Baumgarten of Chicago's WGN-Channel 9 showed images of the accident while telling viewers to bear with them as they tried to get information. After noting that one wing was knocked off, the anchors got word the crash wasn't real — much to the obvious dismay of the anchors. Baumgarten repeatedly asked "Are you kidding me?" before saying "They might want to tell the news folks when they're doing this."

What would make this really hilarious if all of the networks had been sent the information and these guys just missed it.
ReplyDeleteidiots lol
ReplyDeletethe best reporter BLOOPER ever ...OMG...AWESOME
ReplyDeleteSome foreign news program mistook screencaps from LOST for ''pictures taken during a plane crash'' once as well. They can be pretty stupid. :p
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of when a Bolivian news report showed photos of the pilot of Lost as footage from the Rio-Paris plane crash of June 2009 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_France_Flight_447 ) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWMpxrHlx24
ReplyDeleteThat's too funny, you can see its Kate and Marshall in the footage!
ReplyDeleteThey sound like drones talking about a plane crash, like they see this everyday...
ReplyDelete"It doesn't look like anything serious... Except of course that plane in the middle of the road." lol
ReplyDeleteYeah, this happened here on Friday, and was kinda funny. They just didn't notify the news channels and whatnot because they didn't feel it was any different than the normal everyday filming that they are doing.
