Alexis prefer spend christmas with her friends rather than her dad ! Come on, I know she's grown up but still , she's changing a lot, and not in a good way =(
She might be spending time with her high school friends, but her dorm would be closed and locked out for the holiday while everyone goes on break. I know my kids would either have had friends to our house or go out Christmas eve once they were that age. Christmas with folks lasts till 10pm. Christmas with friends lasts till 12 or 1pm. That being said, I am surprised that they didn't at least both make an effort to spend more time with Rick before they bailed.
Doesn't everybody opens their presents in the morning of the 25th in the US? Slightly confused here. And regarding the going out with friends, I did go out on the 24th in the past, around 11 or 11:30 when the family left. Family is the first priority on Christmas though.
Not all of us, holidays we and still are family days for me and for pretty much all of my friends. Christmas especially when you're 18, because that's when you have the most time with family and you realize how precious that time is. New Years I could definitely see, but I'm surprised Alexis would do this
Maybe this is their way of telling him to just spend Christmas with Kate. They think since this is his first Xmas wit her he would prefer to be alone with her or she wouldn't like to "overstay" at the loft ... It seems weird that the women don't want to stay. Come on it's Christmas with Castle! Look at the tree, the loft, all the decorations! Who wouldn't like to spend it with him? He is the Cristmas spirit!
the thing was she wasn't like us all, she became like us all. she did what most people did and did the opposite of it. so its a bit disappointing however not to much
I'm sure that if this had happened last year, they would've spent Christmas Eve with him. But this year he has Beckett and they know it, so they may decide to give him an Kate some time alone.
this is a narrative conceit to create insecurities for Castle: if there's a moment families are together, it's for Christmas. New Year's with friends, Christmas with family. It's as if Alexis said "I'll go light the candles with friends, sorry". This just isn't done, not matter how independent and grown up you are.
BTW I don't know a single kid who says "oh by the way I'll spend Christmas Eve with friends". Even if the friends don't celebrate Christmas, they know it's an important holiday (and are sometimes invited) and they don't "invite out" their friends who are celebrating. So I'll assume it's either a ploy to surprise Castle or a lazy choice by the writers to create angst where there is none.
XMAS EPISODE OF CASTLE TONIGHT LAST OF 2012 & Molly Quinn WILL LIVE TWEET TONIGHT DURING @Castle_ABC --- #Castle -- 10PM EST... PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD....!!!! ALL CASTLE FAN GLUE TO THE TV ...!!!!! :-) ;-)
Christmas is family unity, where hopes are renewed, forgiven mistakes and celebrate the life! A New Year yes, you celebrate with friends, are different dates and different meanings! I think Alexis has to pass the Christmas with your family!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
