Thanks to The Spoiler Fairy for sending us the following..

Several recurring roles for Boardwalk Empire season 4 are currently being cast, including Al Capone's brothers, Frank (Al's older brother) and Ralph (the younger brother). Also being cast are 2 characters from Florida: an Italian-American gangster named Santo Trafficante and a ruthless land baron named August Tucker. Other roles include Calypso Pete, who is an African-American gangster from Harlem, Sally Wheet, a white woman who runs an Atlantic City speakeasy, Myriam Polk, an African-American blues singer, a federal agent named Knox, and Michael McHugh, a sexy college freshman from Atlantic City.

  2. I'm hoping the addition of these African-American characters indicates there will be a lot more Chalky White in season 4. There wasn't nearly enough Chalky in season 3.

  3. I'm guessing he gets his club on the Boardwalk and we get lots of Chalky. In fact copious amount of Chalky and Capone will make S4 stunning.

  4. Agreed. That scenario seems like a vast improvement to me.

  5. Wow! It sounds like a lot of fresh starts. Glad we are getting into Capone a little more...and is Michael McHugh the next Jimmy or Owen?? Very interesting getting into Harlem gangsters and speak easys, and looks like we're expanding to Florida....

  6. Me too! Quite a few of the characters I liked got side-lined. Like I am hoping the federal agent relates to Van Alden and Al Capone situatuins...there was hardly any Van Alden last season.

  7. I'm pretty sure Santo Trafficante is s real Gangster...but, gosh I think Calypso Pete is a song from the 70's...I'm not sure if it's actually based on anyone or like a Mexican legend...

  11. Yeah, Trafficante is a real gangster - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santo_Trafficante,_Sr. Hopefully this means we're close to Tommy Luchese being introduced, since he was released from prison some time in 1923. I'm surprised Frank Costello hasn't shown up, at least in the background, yet. And I really hope the show is on long enough to get into the Castellammarese War, when we see Luciano and his gang pretty much take over. Yeah, I know it's Boardwalk Empire, but there are some GREAT real life stories going on. This Gangster Obsessed Girl wants to see them.
