I dont think its gonna be either Castle or Once Upon a Time. Both couples are still new so why would they break them up within a season? THe only one I think is Bones since Ausiello said the series may be ending next season, the 2013-2014 season, which may be Bones.

ReplyDeleteI don't imagine it'll be Castle - aside from the fan backlash, they made a lot of statements about how the Castle/Beckett relationship was here to stay.
ReplyDeleteAlso don't see it being Michael and Nikita.... their relationship has been going on for too long before they actually got together for them to break up so soon after actually getting together.
Would love it to be Booth and Bones, maybe the show can recover some of it's earlier quality, but I actually think it's Peter & Alicia Floric.
The interviews I read basically said they'll see where the Castle/Beckett romance goes kinda like House did with House/Cuddy. That said while House and Cuddy were kinda doomed to failure since they were complete characters, Castle and Beckett are complementary characters.
ReplyDeleteAlso, don't expect a Booth/Bones break up... with a kid in the picture and Brennan's continual character evolution the biggest change there would be a wedding.
There's no point in even voting for Once Upon a Time. No way is season 3 it's last season.
ReplyDeleteCan't be Callie/Arizona (no one will see coming? They've been on the verge of breakup all season).
ReplyDeletePossibly Meredith/Derek but really, they've broken up and gotten back together so many time I don't think it would give the series "creative juice".
Nikita, well it would give it storylines, but I think they'll be lucky to survive that long. And if they break them up on the series finale the fans would be livid. Unless they already have gotten the greenlight and they want to wait until after the finale to tell us.
Booth/Brennan I think is most likely. It's about on the stretch where the next season might be it's last, it would create some juicy character development and plots.
The rest of the shows I don't really watch. I have watched a bit of Castle but not enough to care too much. Though I think the fans would be really pissed. The other shows I don;t watch at all so no care factor there :)
I don't know all the shows so I can just say who I think will NOT break up and why.
ReplyDeleteMerDer: they just got pregnant. I seriously doubt they would break them up now.
Kate and Rick: don't think that season 6 will be the final season of Castle, so the description would not quite fit. Also they haven't been a couple for long, wouldn't make sense.
Snow and Charming: again, not fitting the final season requirement.
More possible are Booth & Brennan or Callie & Arizona.
No idea about the other shows, though.
Regardless which couple it will be, noone ever said it would be a break-up for good, right? Maybe they will get together again in the final season.
I can't really vote because I only watch Castle from these shows above, but if it happens to be Castle and Beckett, the fandom would go crazy. And I can't find a reason to break them up or to make Season 6 its last one.

ReplyDeleteThe bond between Castle and Beckett is too think, they survived a lot already. The same for Bones plus they have the kid.
Out of all my shows, I have NO idea who it could be. I think the only one that makes sense is Booth and Brennan. Or MAYBE Julia and Joel (and that's a big maybe, but Adam and Kristina need to be left ALONE on that show).
ReplyDeleteFor shows I don't watch, my first thought when I saw this article was Derek and Meredith but as several pointed out, they've split so many times plus she's pregnant (another Blind Item) so that wouldn't make sense. So I'm guessing either Michael and Nikkita or Peter and Alicia (although based on promos, Peter and Alicia should've divorced a while ago?)
My first vote Julia and Joel on parenthood, especially since the season finale is approaching, my next guess would be Bones, last bet would be Arizona/Callie just since all those shows could be approaching their last seasons and SR loves to create drama. NOOOO Caskett, AM said he wouldn't do that and I think Castle will get two more seasons.

ReplyDeleteI think it will be Julia and Joel on Parenthood... their relationship has changed since Julia quit her job and Joel had to go back to work, or he actually didn't have to but jumped to the chance the moment it was possible. With the new kid and the other big chances, it seems very possible.

ReplyDeleteDon't think it's Nikita and Michael because romance has never been a major part of the show (unlike Bones or Castle). I can't see it as being a huge, seismic game-changer if they split up - certainly it would be a big deal, but not reinvigorate the show as it heads into its final season, or whatever. I know shippers would consider it the end of the world, but the writers have never regarded romance as the focus of Nikita.

ReplyDeleteWhy does Castle have so many votes. It is IMPOSSIBLE. I'm not saying it because I don't want to happen, I'm saying it because I've watched the show from the start since 2009 and I can tell how the writers are thinking. They won't break them up.

Derek and Meredith - like someone else said before me it won't be that interesting they have broken up so many times. What's the point now?
I think it would be Snow and Charming. They are not that cute anyway.
Cruel yes, but it also provides a lot of creative juices for Grey's finale year too. It's a storyline Grey's has never done before, postpartum depression. It's also classic Shonda Rhimes and the ultimate "be careful what you wish for" to the fans that wanted a biological McBaby.

ReplyDeleteNikita and Michael, or maybe one of the couples from Parenthood. OUaT is not going to be cancelled after only 3 seasons; Booth and Brennan and Castle and Beckett just got together after endless seasons of UST so it doesn't make sense to break them up so soon, Peter and Alicia aren't together, and Derek/Mer and Callie/Arizona have been signalling break-up off and on for years.
ReplyDeleteFrom this list I watch OuAT (sometimes), Castle (sometimes), and The Good Wife (always). It's not any of these. Peter and Alicia are already separated. Snow and Charming makes no sense. I don't think breaking up Kate and Rick would be a good idea. So, dunno.
ReplyDeleteThat's basically my shortlist as well, but Joel and Julia have a clear lead, and the other two are there just for backup (meaning I really don't think it will be them, but in case it's not Joel and Julie they're the most viable candidates)...

ReplyDeleteAs far as I can tell only non or ex Bones fans are voting for BB. I don't believe the showrunners would break them up. I'm voting for MerDer on Greys.

ReplyDeleteActually that would be pretty much exact to what happened season 7/season 8 with merder. Living in separate houses, each spending time with Zola and still having to work together...I just don't see anything new or creative there :)
ReplyDeleteNo way would it be Bones, Hart and Stephen have hinted many times that Bones will likely end with Bones and Booth marrying. The Bones fans would be livid if they broke them up after all they went through to get together! I don't see it being OUaT, or Castle either. It could be Nikita and Michael, but not till they end the show. The others I don't watch, so I have no idea.

ReplyDeleteWell there are still a heck of a lot of B&B fans, and with the baby, their relationship is just getting stronger, so take a hike! Just don't watch if you're po'd at the series. I think the show has gotten a breath of fresh air with their relationship as it is now!
