Ya might wanna sit down for this one, Arrow fans. TV Guide Magazine has learned exclusively that the CW show — which is already exceeding its hot limit with Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy and Colin Donnell — has just hit a major bull's eye by signing Teen Wolf alum Colton Haynes.
"We were big fans of Colton from Teen Wolf and we are thrilled he's joining Arrow," says executive producer Greg Berlanti of the actor, who is set to begin appearing on the show in 2013 as none other than Roy Harper.
DC Comics aficionados will recognize that name as the young marksman who has been known as, since his debut in 1941, the Green Arrow's sidekick Speedy, Teen Titans member Arsenal, and the Justice League's drug-addicted, one-armed Red Arrow. While details on this iteration's possible secret identity are being kept, well, secret, Haynes' Harper is being described by The CW as "a handsome, street-savvy, teenager from 'the Glades,' the harsh, poverty-stricken portion of Starling City."

Thank god! I've been waiting to hear they're bringing Roy in since I first heard it was being made a series. As someone who has only seen the first couple of episodes of Teen Wolf I can't say I'm that familiar with Colton but everyone in the Teen Wolf Fandom seems to love him so he should be good.
ReplyDeleteHated him in Teen Wolf, but we'll see.
ReplyDeleteperfect casting
ReplyDeleteI hope I won't have to ffwd through his parts like I did in Teen Wolf. He just rubs me wrong. Or maybe it was his character, Jackson. I cheered when I heard Hayes was leaving the show. Jackson was the only thing I intensely disliked about Teen Wolf.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
ReplyDeleteawsome :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with that.
ReplyDeleteI think Jackson was a misunderstood character on Teen Wolf, he just started being more and more interesting when season 2 ended.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, i liked this, but maybe it is too soon for a sidekick...we'll see..
ReplyDeleteI did like the character in Teen Wolf, his love story with Lydia and everything, but honestly the actor is not.. an actor. I mean his act is terrible.
ReplyDeleteI do not like his acting, to put it lightly.
ReplyDeleteHis love story with Lydia could hardly be classified as such. He dumped her because he thought she was dead weight, and actually told her that to her face as I recall, and everything after that was meant to seem romantic between them but was actually very bad. Like the whole key thing. It was meant to be romantic but it really wasn't.
ReplyDeleteHe was one of the worst characters I've seen in a very long time, and his romance with Lydia was laughable. It's been a long time since I've seen a character that had absolutely nothing redeemable about him in any way.
Interesting news, but still i was hoping that, Speedy will be his sister even if that is some of what awkward.
ReplyDeleteHe looks douchey
ReplyDeleteI was very excited to hear this, I'm really enjoying this show.
ReplyDeleteI hope we get a badass Roy like we get on Young Justice. Also, forget about Thea, bring in Jade/Cheshire!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing what he can do when handed a (hopefully) more multi-dimensional character, than the one he played on Teen Wolf.
ReplyDeleteYour thoughts! But actually, it's not the subject. It's about Arrow and Colton Haynes. Not the same.
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't want it to be the topic of discussion then it would have been wise not to include something that has nothing to do with Arrow and Colton in your original response.
ReplyDeleteI hope they at least introduce him right, with the whole archery competition being judged by Oliver/GA and show some of his background training with Big Bow, how Roy Harper Sr. died plus maybe the infamous junkie storyline.
ReplyDeleteOh please! Three words in my reponse, two paragraphs in yours. So yes, i don't think a debate about a Teen Wolf's romance is necessary here.
ReplyDeleteDid you even read your own response? The only thing you commented on was Teen Wolf.
