ReplyDeleteThe data here is already inaccurate. It doesn't seem viable to add House to the 2012 list when it's not part of the 2012-13 season. When I see the years here, I feel it should be implied that it's for that television season. And so the data should represent 2011 season (into 2012), and 2012 (into 2013). House should be on the '11 rather than the '12 as a result since it ended last season.

ReplyDeleteWow very interesting stats. I'm a little suprised that HIMYM moved up the rankings table but other than that it seems to make a lot of sense. Shows that had big story changes such as Castle, Greys, Dexter have moved up and shows like TBBT and PoI with increased support have started to really show up.
ReplyDeleteI would be intersted to know which 5 shows dropped off the rankings table to allow GoT, Dexter, TBBT, PoI and Revenge on.
This is my most visited site and I've really enjoyed commenting more this year. I looked forward to a spoiler filled 2013 with everyone here. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this site to us and congratulations on the yearly stats, they look amazing.

ReplyDeleteAnd good job to Fringe, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, True Blood & Dexter (and the other shows, I guess ^^) for being so addictive, and thus very popular on SpTV.
Btw, I should really ask how to use the SpoilerTV video player and the Image database (I did get the email regarding their use when I started contributing, but I didn't do it right away and now I don't have it anymore). It's kind of like when you're supposed to know someone's name, they know yours but you totally forgot hers/his, and after a while it becomes so embarassing to ask, so you don't. I've always found Youtube's player to be easy to use and very efficient, but for some other websites it's not as simple. And if it brings money to Andy (I've noticed a 'persistent' ad a week ago, it's got to be worth $om€thing), then I should start using it.
And holy crackers, I had no idea that a thread I opened (Happy 25th anniversary, FOX (poll 1/3 : sci-fi / fantasy) was popular ! 14,425 views, 465 'likes', 173 tweets, 37 G+1 : that's nice, thanks everyone ! Also, there is a vivid Dark Angel fanbase that found out about the poll o_O : it wins by a landslide (41.18%) against shows like The X-Files (19.13%) or Fringe (14.02%), that's pretty impressive (or given that you could choose up to 5 shows, it means the majority of people have seen Dark Angel). A good 2013 resolution for me will be to try and write more of these 'popular' posts.

ReplyDeleteAs for the Image Gallery and Video player, don't worry too much about it. Your posts, like our reviewers and recappers don't really need to use. We try to use them for our stand posts such as Episodic Promotional Photos, Sneak Peek and Promos.
For articles about shows, YouTube and Photo uploading to Blogger directly makes most sense.

ReplyDeleteYep, Chrome is really gathering momentum. Most people hate IE and Firefox has become a little sluggish recently. I used to be a big Firefox users since version 1 but since Chrome was released I've not looked back ;)
I'm surprised Supernatural fell all the way to number 5 in the most popular shows table, though I think season 7 disappointed a lot of people. It is good to see Castle at the top, though... not that it's a surprise on this site haha ;)

It's not so surprising to find Castle on the top, but it's interesting to see how are other shows. I found SPOILER TV last year. I told my friends about it, because here, in Czech republik, we ALL love Castle, Bones, TBBT, HIMYM, but I and my friend(and family) learnt about new shows thanks to you! So thank you and congratulations! You are the best even in non-English-speaking country!
