Later, Klaus makes a discovery that leads to chaos and violence. Meanwhile, Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon retreat to the Gilbert Lake House to help Jeremy (Steven R. 6. This was all part of the CW's Christmas Press Release. We should get 4.07 soon.

  7. It makes no sense why Klaus doesn't just slaughter everyone against him or just compell them, there is no more vervain why not just make the whole town your slave. His motivations for a hybrid army are also suspect since he can just create a vampire army and compell them to be loyal

  8. - You can't slaughter or compel everyone without making the presence of vampires public.
    - Sire bonds are more beneficial than compulsion. Sire bonds are stronger and much harder to break and the bond creates loyalty without having to compel anyone in the first place.

  9. Last season he should have killed everyone who wanted him dead especially Damon and Stefan. The only reason he didn't is because they are main characters.
It's easy for him to compell the whole town, they can't fight against it if he makes them forget he did it. He could easily make Damon, Stefan and Elena forget him and they would; he has done it before, he made Stefan forget him for 70 years

  10. He had a legitimate reason not to kill Stefan. He wanted to regain his friendship. If Klaus had killed everyone Stefan cared about he would have guaranteed that Stefan would never be his friend again. Also, compulsion wasn't an answer because Klaus made a point of saying he didn't want to compel his friendship. All of that means is mass murder was off the table for Klaus last season too.

  13. and about a possible elena-stefan break up

  14. Right? They made Klaus too unimaginably powerful, once you give it a logical look. Here's a virtually immortal being, stronger than a vampire, stronger than a werewolf, capable of mind control, inhuman strength, and over a thousand years of life experience. In reality, would a being of this magnitude really be sticking inside a small town terrorizing local teenagers? Probably not. Similarly, would creatures -- no serial killers, who feed on human blood and are over five hundred years old, reaally reeeeeaallyy fall in love with a seventeen year old orphan who is virtually a fetus in terms of actually being able to hold a conversation with the same level of intelligence? If this show was realistic, it probably woulda ended in season one when Damon found Elena first and turned her into a 'Katherine' doll with his obsession combined with 'turned off' emotions and alladatt. What makes this show a guilty pleasure is the fact that even though we know all this, we can pretend that they're just like us, and Klaus's very human emotion of loneliness drives him from being the simple cold blooded killer/ mind control/ world domination type being he's capable of; the loneliness which compels him to make useless hybrids in the first place or keeps him from compelling Stefan (also, he knows that Stefan and Damon will die for Elena, who's safety he requires for himself). Klaus wants to be unconditionally loved, just like Rebekah, and he tries to compensate for it. Bam.

  15. Since when does Klaus care if the entire world finds out? He believes he is indestructible.

  16. He didn't want to compel his friendship? But his hybrids are his mindless slaves. How does that get together?

  17. Chaos and violence at a MF party. Why do they even bother organizing parties like that. Didn't they, after 2 years, learned that every party and parade ends in chaos, violence and death? Or is this the new Sunnydale where people know about those thinks and just ignore it?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ah, a theme party. Excellent idea, Mystic Falls!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Klaus doesn't believe he's indestructible. He want's people to believe he's indestructible. If he really felt that he was indestructible he wouldn't want an army of hybrids to fend off his enemies.

    ReplyDelete
  20. He didn't want to compel Sefan's friendship because Stefan's acceptance means something to him. He doesn't care what the hybrids think of him.

    ReplyDelete
  21. O.K., maybe not indestructible. But he believes that he is truly immortal. At least when it comes to the MF vampires. If he dies all vampires in his line die. The best life insurance possible. None of the MFV can touch him. And if someone else tries to kill him they die to, so they would protect him.

His hybrids do protect him, true. But he also wanted them to not be alone. I mean: his family betrayed him (wanted to kill him) and left him. He didn't wanna be alone. So he wanted an army of mindless slaves. They would never betray him and never leave him, do as he says and never doubt his decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  22. They may not have the option of killing Klaus but it doesn't mean they can't get rid of him. They can desiccate him and box him up like before as soon as Bonnie gets her mojo back.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Cause the hybrids don't think. Can imagine that it's quiet freeing sometimes.

Ripper Stefan accepted him. They both took pleasure in torturing others for fun. They both believed they're above all others. Back there they were alike. They both found the brother and companion they looked for.

But Stefan evolved. He changed. Klaus didn't. He tried to bring the old Stefan back. But Stefan hesitated when he should kill Elena. And then he did compel him.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Definitely. And they should. ASAP

But the producers like him. So, even if they can lock him up again (They did it once. He's not letting them close enough to do it again), 2-3 eps later he'll be free again.

They needed a season and a half to get rid of him. And what happened? Ep. 21 they put him in the coffin, in ep. 22 he was free again (at least his spirit – his body followed in the next ep.). The only solution to the problem is the final death. They just need to find a way to break the link between him and the other vamps in his line.

But I fear that, as long as Klaus is a fanfav, he won't leave (not without coming back too soon). And I'm afraid that it will ruin the show. The story is developing too slowly. After 2 seasons we're still stuck with the originals.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Unfortunately, the show will never get rid of Klaus but the idea that he can be dealt with makes the Klaus character vulnerable. It's why he doesn't believe he's indestructible and it's a major reason why he wants hybrids.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hybrids think for themselves like anyone else does. They just don't possess the freewill to disobey Klaus.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The hybrids are his family (since his real family hates him and wants him dead). If he wanted just bodyguards he could have compelled some vamps to protect him. But hybrids are stronger and deadlier.

He doesn't have to compel the hybrids. He probably thinks that this means their loyalty is real.

Klaus can be handled. But as long as the produces and fans love him they won't let him go (for good). And as I said, I'm afraid that because of that it's just a question of time till the sow will come to a stop and will lose viewers.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The hybrids are not just company for Klaus. He has said specifically on more than one occasion that they are for his defense and protection.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hayley and Caro teaming up? Oh yeah!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah! Elena and Damon. And AGAIN Jeremy will interrupt.
