-Ratings Breakdown:
The Green Bay Packers vs. the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football led NBC to overnight victory, with an estimated 13.5 rating/21 share from 8:30-11:30 p.m. Comparably, that was up by eight percent from Pittsburgh vs. Kansas City on the year-ago evening. Earlier in the night on NBC was pre-game Football Night in America at a 1.6/ 3 at 7 p.m. (#4), a 2.9/ 5 at 7:30 p.m. (#4) and a dominant 9.5/15 in the 8 p.m. half –hour.
Second-place CBS had nothing unusual to report with its combination of granddaddy 60 Minutes (#2: 9.0/14), The Amazing Race (#2: 6.9/11), critically acclaimed The Good Wife (#2: 6.5/10) and relocated The Mentalist (#2: 6.6/11), which is compatible out of The Good Wife but has lost steam since moving from Thursday to Sunday.
Fox got an overall boost courtesy of the NFL Football primetime overrun at a 15.8/26 (#1) in the 7 p.m. half-hour, followed by post game The OT at an 11.8/19 (#1) at 7:30 p.m. Next was perennial demo friendly The Simpsons (#4: 4.8/ 7 at 8 p.m.), followed by Bob’s Burgers (#4: 3.0/ 4), Family Guy (#4: 3.7/ 5) and a 9:30 p.m. installment of The Cleveland Show (#4: 2.6/ 4) from 8:30-10 p.m. Comparably, The Cleveland Show dropped by 30 percent from lead-in Family Guy.
In the distant No. 4 spot was ABC’s line-up of America’s Funniest Home Videos (#3: 3.8/ 6), sophomore Once Upon a Time (#3: 5.6/ 8), relocated Revenge (#3; 5.0/ 8) and 666 Park Avenue, which earned its cancellation striped at a mere 2.8/ 5 (#3) at 10 p.m. Year-to-year, Once Upon a Time dipped by 12 percent (versus a 6.4/ 9 on 11/27/11).

i never trust his analysis much but it does not sound like a good night for the abc dramas :S
ReplyDelete666 is a good serie, idk abc is keep failing in cancel good series =/
ReplyDeleteOther than 666 the other 2 should do well in the 18-49 demographic, where it really counts. Football will take the demographic, of course. It always does, but usually the OUAT and Revenge come in second so I'm not worried. I expect them to be down until after the mid-season hiatus when football finally stops being competition.
ReplyDeleteABC didnt fail the show did, its ratings were crap therefore cancelled.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the table? I am not able to see it. Is it just me?
ReplyDeleteI can't see it either.
ReplyDeleteOh ok. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI can't either
ReplyDeleteEW is reporting a 3.0 for Once a 2.2 for Revenge. Very sad about revenge if that holds
ReplyDeleteMe either
ReplyDeleteyeah Mark Berman is also reporting those same numbers (ONCE - 3.1/3.0, REVENGE - 2.3/2.1 and 666 - 1.3/1.2.)
ReplyDeleteRevenge fell hard because of that trashy Lindsay Lohan Movie.
ReplyDeletewhat happened to revenge? i am loving this season, i dont get the sudden drop. maybe its just a fluke like once last week
ReplyDeleteOMABIN YOU ARE ON TVBYTHENUMBERS! woooo
ReplyDeleteI have no idea, I hope so, but it still isn't in any trouble, isn't it like the 2nd highest rated drama other than Once on the network.
ReplyDeleteYup. A lot of people wanted to watch it for the trainwreck that it would be.
ReplyDelete@omabin:disqus Sorry I forgot to add it lol. It should be there now :)
ReplyDeleteNice, yet obvious rebound for 'Once Upon A Time'! Still can't believe how well 'The Simpsons' is doing! A 3.3 in a 24 year old show?!
ReplyDeleteGlad OUAT was up this week. Poor 666 Park Avenue.
ReplyDeleteI've seen some people losing interest in the second season unfortunately...
ReplyDeleteCBS is killing THE MENTALIST:(((
ReplyDeleteThat kind of show never dies. :I
ReplyDeleteBTW that kind of show is not my thing. 30% of my awesome shows get canceled.
At least it did better than The Good Wife overall and had the most viewers CBS had all night.
ReplyDeleteAhhh football. When is the season over?
ReplyDeleteIt got canceled from what I heard? So people will/did drop the show, so ratings are/will only get worst.
ReplyDeleteis there any possible that CBS moves THE MENTALIST to a better timeslot???? TM is a good show and if it keeps staying in this timeslot it can't have a good result because of the bad rating, which results from the wrong arrangement not because of a bad story.
ReplyDeleteFebruary.
ReplyDeleteNo it was canceled along with Last Resort.
ReplyDeleteCBS do not produce The Mentalist its owned by WB, they wont make money out of its syndication so they probably don't really care. I wonder if WB will have to lower the licence fee in order to get CBS to air it for another season?
ReplyDeleteIt airs on Sunday so the ratings are low! Anyway TM often does better than TGW and 666PA so it's ok.
ReplyDeleteI really don't understand the ratings of Revenge because this series is so perfect and exciting and last episode was awesome, a lot of revenge, and Victoria's mother was diabolical (like her daughter). But I have a question, is the series growing up year to year?
ReplyDeleteMost shows go down over time.
ReplyDeleteYou can see all the ratings for all episodes in our ratings database http://stvplus.com/show/134/Revenge#episodes
Silly question, why to Cable shows not get ratings like these? most of what I watch on Sundays is cable.
