    this was surprisingly really hard. Regina was a given, and then I went with Charming, especially this season. The thrid one was really really hard. I wanted to go for Emma, who I really like, but I had to give it to Ruby, as supporting as she might be. Jefferson would also be a contender had he been featured more often and I think Hook might steal it as well in the future. I also really like Pinochio, and the Huntsman. And Cora is awesome as villain. Wow, so many great characters. I am a minority, but I don't care for Rumple

    Charming- because he's awesome and has more personality then your normal Disney prince. Plus he's hot

    Jefferson-because let's face it sebastion Stan is so good at reformed criminal and doting father to his little girl. I'm a sucker for daddy/daughter relationships.

    Red-because she's a boss and a wonderful friend to Charming and Snow.

    P.s. The others are great too. I wish i could put more then three. :p

    Only three??? How Is that possible? Ok, I think I got it. Regina and Rumple for sure. Then Emma in her tender moments, ex. Her moments with Graham before he dies, moments with Henry before she kisses him and In her baby room with Snow. Very close behind are Belle, Snow, Ruby and Graham. I would say I have favourites per episode though, not for the whole series.

    Rumple because his character is so complex.

    Hook because there is more to him than meets the eye
    Snow because she may be a princess but she can hold her own in both a physical fight and verbal argument.

    For me Rumplestiltskin, Regina, and Jefferson. Rumplestiltskin always steals the scene, Regina with her wickedly beautiful clothes, and Jefferson cause he's cray-cray! All the characters are just too awesome, but alas, I must choose 3.

    Charming lives up to the nickname, Jefferson I love because of how much he loves his daughter, and Graham I loved because of his friendship with the wolf and he let Snow go.

    Wow, that was hard. My final Choices - Gold, Regina and Snow, though I must say Ruby and Belle were very close too.

    Gold - wonderfuly conflicted charactar, played by the actor who got me to watch that show in the first place, Robert Carlyle.

    Snow - so much better than all the princesses Disney has shown us over the years. She is so lovable, strong, brave and graceful, and I think she is the heart of the show, while she teaches Emma to find hers.
    Regina - another wonderfuly conflicted character. I realy hope the show will turn out to be her journey for redemption.

    I feel the same. 3 is not enough. And yeah, I'm a sucker for father/daughter relationships too. Really, I'm a sucker for any family bonding and for friendships, and romance. Whatever can lead to sappiness and squeeze my heart. Not in OUAT way though! lol

    I picked Regina and Rumpelstiltskin pretty easily, as I think they're the two that are spectacular every week, but my third choice was pretty difficult. I've really been enjoying Charming this season as he's taken on his new role in the town, but I also enjoy Ruby... and I'm super intrigued by Hook, though I think it's a little early to name him as a favorite. In the end, I didn't vote for a third haha... I'll come back later when I've thought about it some more.

    Oh, my word this is hard! There are so many wonderful characters on this show! I guess I'll have to go with Charming, Snow, and Rumpelstiltskin (followed closely by Emma, Jefferson, and August).

    I love how complex Rumpelstiltskin is and how invested he is into getting his son back. I want to see more about his son. I am so hopefully he will find him before the season is over. I have a feeling that after this season it's going to be even harder to pick a favorite three, especially the way they write each character as layer, flawed, and sympathetically as they have been writing so far.

    I really love how Charming is more than the average fairy tale hero and he doesn't do everything right, but learns. I think he is really coming into his own and keeps fighting for his family. I wish we could see more of him and Snow, Emma, and Henry, but for now, he is really good for Henry and the town. I think it will be interesting to see the King come back into his life now the characters know their true identities. I really hope we get to see more of David/Charming flaws and strengths mix together and come out over the rest of the season.

    And Snow is the perfect blend of strong and kicking butt female and yet, she is still lovable and gentle. There aren't enough shows that can produce strong women with a grace and femininity to them. Either the women are totally unlikable and unbelievable kind, yet, every guy should want her or the women are always right despite always the damsels in distress and every guy should want her. I'm a little tired of love triangles and two guys fighting over one girl that you aren't entirely sure is worth all the fighting. So far this show has done a wonderful job of steering away from the round and round love triangles (I don't really count the Kathryn, David, and Mary-Margaret as true annoying round and round love triangle since David and Mary-Margaret are meant to be together) and making sure that the women are strong without belittling the men or being an over-the-top bitch, yet, each woman character on the show has a softer and kinder understanding side.

    Between having real strong female characters and flawed complex emotional male characters, it makes this poll so hard to choose for me! The characterization on this show is wonderful. With each new character-episode I find myself all wishing to learn more about whoever is onscreen.

    Rumple, Snow, Belle. Ridiculously hard, especially not voting for Regina, Charming or Red ... or Emma ... or Jefferson ... or... see, too many choices. But Rumple is my favorite character, because he goes from over the top kinda fun evil in Fairy Tale Land to the much more subtle, sarcastic Gold. And Snow and Belle are basically the princesses I spent my childhood waiting for - butt-kicking, independent, more interested in bows and arrows and libraries and being brave than being all damsel-in-distress waiting for a guy to save them. Can't help but love them.

    Emma because she is the reason for it all. lol.

    This show has such awesome characters, but I have a soft spot for Snow, Emma and Charming and tend to like the episodes that revolve around them the most.

    Other favorites are Hook, Jefferson, Ruby and Rumpel.

    Regina is one of those "femme fatale" kind of characters who elicit very polar response from the general public - you either love her or loathe her, no middle ground. As for Emma, I'm not surprised she's also in the lead, there are so many Swan Queen shippers in this fandom I would've been surprised if she weren't a close tie with Regina.

    Btw, Evil Regals are a force to be reckoned with. ;)

    First choice had to be regina/the evil queen. I feel she is more human than rest of them. She has made mistakes like all of us do n she would do anything to have her boy. She has good in her too as is ready to sacrifice herself for henry. 2nd is rumple as he has alwauz loved his child an belle but was weak to choose them, maddned by th power but he never stopped lookin fr belfire an went to the extent of doin everythin we hav seen in the show. An 3rd emma as she is jus to kickass to ignore.

    **Oh, and also, I am currently watching season three, so I warn you.. POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!**

    Yes, she's got attitude. Yes, she can be impulsive. Yes, she makes mistakes. But isn't that what makes her human? I love how fiery she is, and love it even more when she meets that certain someone who has the inane ability to tame that fire, and show the delicate, orphan girl, lost and alone. Plus, she is a pretty darn awesome mum. Shame about Henry, though. (Okay, okay, at the beginning, I didn't mind Henry at all, in fact, I kinda liked him, but later on, in season 3 in particular... he begins to test my patience...) Oh, and did I mention that she isn't afraid to stand up to Gold or Regina? Now that takes balls. Or, err, well, you catch my drift.




    ~Rumpelstiltskin/Mr Gold
    From the very beginning, I felt a scary attraction towards the creepy-ass imp with a knack for making deals, and he has been in my top five characters ever since I watched the very first episode of the very first season. (Oh, that seems so long ago!) I adore how they made his character's history so complex, and helped to solve the mystery of his past without stealing away or ruining his enigmatic demeanour. He is incredibly powerful, quite possibly the most powerful of all the OUAT characters, but somehow, they managed to make him... hmm.... perhaps not relatable, but certainly interesting, and quite hurt. Hurt by his past, which is truly tragic, from his abandonment to his becoming the dark one, losing his son in the process. Speaking of which...


    ~Baelfire
    When we first met Bae, he was a loving but troubled son of a coward. Shortly afterwards, he was a teenage boy longing for freedom from his father's evil, which had begun to taint the man's soul. Now, though, he's no longer simply a part of Rumple's back story. He is his own character. From his relationship with Emma (their romantic meeting makes me laugh every time), to every moment afterwards, Bae is a character I cannot help but adore. But there is someone else that is pining for Emma, and he is an awful lot more... shall we say.. rugged?


    ~Captain Hook/Killian Jones
    From the moment I laid eyes on him, I was incredibly attracted to this pirate. And it wasn't just because of his gorgeous looks either. Or his strong, deep voice. Or how he looks everything but feminine when wearing eyeliner. He seems to be aware that he is gorgeous, and in some cases, this can be annoying, but in his case, it makes me adore him even more! His complex relationship with Emma is to die for, and it has bestowed upon us the first (interesting) love triangle of the series, which we can all be thankful for. He is witty, and slightly cruel, but there is a soft side beneath his thorny (I was have tempted to leave out the 't', but I deemed it slightly inappropriate) exterior. Like Regina, he is deadset on revenge, but his plight isn't against the virtuous Snow, oh no, it is against 'Crocodile', or rather, the slightly terrifying Rumpelstiltskin, who took his beloved Mila from him. (Yeah, yeah, he started it, but really..)
