OMG.....SUPER EPI.......Awwwww...first the tears...when carol saw the baby and realized that lori had died and said im sorry to rick....the teary eye moment of the epi....then to the action....2 points for Glenn and killing that walker so Super Bad Ass......Happy they named the baby Judith just like the comics.....they could've left out the dumb old man scene, wasted too much time on that with the stupid slow music.....
now to the Big Question of the week...Did the Gov Rape Maggie????....the way it was edited it didnt look like it....but we all know what he did to Michonne in the comics so u gotta figure that he did but she still had her pants on later....and btw, where did Andrea find some Thongs, lol...and did u see how the Gov talked to Andrea at the end....the same way he did to Maggie at the end also.....so u gotta think Andrea is in for some major trouble with this guy.......
im just waiting for the Gov to start losing some major body parts like in the comics for what he has done especially with what he used to rape Maggie.....Michonne had better sharpen her sword real good, lol.....☺.....
It was a nice little moment with the reunion with Carol, I'm glad they didn't gloss over her return.
I don't think the Governor did rape Maggie. If they wanted us to think he did they wouldn't have shown him walk away from here right before the break. If anyone, I expect Andrea will be more psychologically taken advantage of by the Governor. But maybe that's all just me not wanting to think anything bad happened to Maggie.
And with or without the rape, I do hope something drastic happens to the Governor.
Awesome episode, as every other episode this season. I'm currently watching the very end of the episode and I gotta say the pulsating music at the end is just super creepy and awesome and perfect. Alright now I'm done, glad we're finally getting to see the Governor's real colors.
Poor Glenn and Maggie. Glenn getting the physical abuse from Merle, and Maggie of the psychological abuse from having to listen to Glenn's beating and the humiliation from the Governor. I personally believe that the Governor did not rape her, if they wanted you to believe that they wouldn't have thrown in the Governor walk away from her.
Wish we got to see Michonne mention either Andrea or Merle to see the reaction, but I suppose that will be next week. Hopefully Rick's grateful thanks to Daryl in the episode will keep Daryl on our side instead of going to defend his brother.
While I really hope no one dies (ok the Governor can but that's just really unlikely), I do kind of expect Oscar to die and Daryl to get left behind at Woodbury. Thank goodness we won't have to wait long before the awesome battle at Woodbury next week and don't have to wait until a year from now to see the 2nd half of the season.
Solid ep that was more set up for the finale... Good to see that Glenn/Maggie are ok (for now) and haven't endured the treatment that Rick/Michonne received in the comics from the Governor - who knows what will happen in the midseason finale, however.... I wouldn't mind the new inmates Oscar/Axel hanging around some more to find out more about them and get, but I'm afraid that they might become the new T-Dog(s), especially since they've announced that the Tyreese character is coming (at a far much later stage than in the comics), so I'm worried that one or both might be gone by season's end......
are you sure?? I remember reading somewhere that season 3 would be split in half and resume in oct 2013, the same like how they split breaking Bad's final season a year apart.
This episode was beyond great for sooooo many reasons. Carl tearing when his dad *nodded* and had the moment with Carol...ugh...sad...
I wish more would have been said, but i'm sure they will wait until next episode. I think Merle will go back and fourth but I certainly think it will be Daryl that will kill Merle, in the end. Whenever that is. Plus... I don't think Merle is 'happy' to see Daryl, the man is bitter as hell. idk...
GREAT, AWESOME EPISODE!! And music at end was PERFECT and INTENSE...
He took his beating for the team and even got closer to the gun showing he was willing to be killed to protect the team. An I cannot forget that awesome Bond-like chair escape and walker slaying! - I liked how Carl is such a lil Rick! He watches over Hershel as he patches Michonne, fingers twitching on his holster ready to draw! XD
- Maggie showed her chops for sure too! Allowing the Governor to do whatever he wanted and not knowing he would stop before full on rape took some strength to be sure.
- Good to see losing his hand has not stopped Merle from being a racist bastard! Well, sorta....
Overall a "Great" episode that sets up the mid-season finale nicely!
All the parts are in place for some extreme ass kicking minutes of television!
Hmmm... has anyone done a Walking Dead Xmas song?
*Sung to Jingle Bells*
Slashing through the cells like a one-man death machine. O'er the geeks Rick goes killing all the way. Heads on D-block roll, Making walkways slick What fun it is to hide and sing The slaying song of Rick!
(Chorus)
Prison Cells, Prison Cells, Slaying all the way. Oh what fun it is to see A one-man death machine. Prison Cells, Prison Cells, Slaying all the way. Oh what fun it is to see A one-man death machine.
Great episode. Good build-up ep for the mid-season finale. Let's hope next week is every bit as mind-blowing as Pretty Much Dead Already, this time last year.
Glenn was awesome, and Maggie's acting I thought was brilliant, although she went down a notch in my esteem by declaring 'prison!' She chooses to sell out her own father and the people that have helped her stay alive for the better part of 8 months because she can't bear to see Glenn with a gun in his face :/
I don't know if this was deliberate, but when Rick was telling Michonne that she'll be safe, that she'll be free to go after recouping, that he'll just hang on to the sword for now... did that remind you of anyone? He sounded exactly like The Governor did when her and Andrea first turned up at Woodbury. I thought that was interesting, that these two bands of people aren't all that much different, especially as far as Michonne is concerned, because she doesn't have the knowledge that we do about Gov's weird head collection or his almost-rape of Maggie.
I was expecting a little more to happen, but it was still a good episode - a great set up for next week. I thought that Michonne would have told Rick about Andrea, so I was a little disappointed that didn't happen. I'm thinking her motivation for getting Rick to go after the governor is she wants Andrea back. She has enough information to realize that Rick's group is Andrea's group (the Merle connection and all of Andrea's stories), and maybe she thinks Andrea will come back with them if she sees her old friends. I wonder if Andrea is going to accidentally shoot Daryle again next week. :-P
Yeah, I was surprised Maggie gave up the prison so easily. For all she knows, there are thugs on their way there to rape her sister.
I saw the parallel to Rick and the Governor taking her sword and locking her up too. It's necessary of course, but I didn't think the Governor was initially wrong in doing that either. I think seeing the tank with the bullet holes returned really heightened Michonne's suspicions - that and the caged walkers - although she had pet walkers herself.
I checked with Walking Dead Wiki, fwiw, and it is supposed to return in January after a short hiatus. But I'm glad Breaking Bad is giving me a chance to catch up before it's over (I'm still in the middle of S4).
Excellent episode, with a lot happening. Turns out the phone conversations with ghost Lori helped Rick to work out his grief, and he's back to his normal self. Good. And now he's promoted Carl to his second in command and the little kid is coming through.
Again, the magic healing power of TV has come to the rescue, healing Michonne's gunshot wound in no time at all. Or maybe Doc Hershel is just that good.
Andrea's body is hot and I'm envious. I'm sorry for her however because she so wants a loving, sexual relationship, and we all know the Guv is not going to be all that. How silly of Milton to think the zombies have feelings. That's just how closed off Woodbury is to the rest of the world.
I can't blame Maggie for giving away the prison location, but what she also gave away is that this little band of survivors has killed all those walkers and is pretty badass. Can't wait to see how they handle the Woodbury population.
The music in the final sequence was just divine. I think I would have still been on the edge of my seat if the scene was just paint drying to that soundtrack.
this was excellent. i hate the governor with passion now after what he did to maggie. hope he has a painful very slow death together with merle. That really was hard to watch. other than that, there is a kick-ass tea with michone, rick and daryl. And loved the rick-daryl and rick-carl moments. The ending killed me though, so much antecipation. I think next week will roooock! I love this show!
I got one too, and the guy that got it all wrong in the OP didn't get any downvotes, go figure. It's some troll. I gave you the upvote on the comment though. I'm over this idiotic up/downvote system.

HOLY SHIT!!! i cant wait for next week! screw playing the wiiU im watchin this!
ReplyDeleteAwesome ep, and after seeing the preview for next week I dont know how I will survive the Hiatus to oct 2013 for the rest of season 3.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for next week!! It'll be tough to have to wait until February for the second half of the season!!!

Gah! Why is this show so good!
after all, i think rick´s hand is safe for the rest of the series.
ReplyDeleteWhat? This is mid-season, not the end of the season. It will return in Feb 2013 with 8 more eps to finish off season 3.
