Thanks to The Spoiler Fairy for sending us the following..

For episode 2.15 of Once Upon a Time, the guest role of Katerina is being cast. She's 40 years old, regal, beautiful and kind, with a big heart, and loved by her family, which is very close.

  1. Oh please show, try to cast someone "ugly" at one point...

  2. It's either Snow's mother or King Jorge's wife

  3. Not going to happen, OUaT grabbed the CW ball and run with it, without looking back

  4. That will never happen on a show like that!

  5. In the russian version, Sleeping Beauty is called Katrina. So maybe she's Aurora's mother?

  6. It's funny that it's always right in the description. Not even like 'regal and kind, with a big heart', no they have to make sure beautiful is in there.

  7. Oh, come on, last time some people said they hate the idea of Neal and Emma because Neal isn't 'hot' and went asdfghjkl because Hook is so ~pretty. wtf.

My money is on Snow's mother. Beautiful, kind, big heart, etc. I had thought, maybe, George's wife, but family to me would imply children, which she was cursed not to have..

  9. Maybe a young Cora? just guessing!.

  10. I disagree. I think they pick people who are uniquely beautiful looking, as apposed to the modern trendy teenager.

  11. They might not be plastic pretty that the CW mints in a factory in China, but all of them fall on "the beautiful people" side of the scale. That's the complaint in the end.

  12. Considering it's "fantasy" show where the middle aged and younger cast occasionally have to be physical, it does make sense to cast people who look the part, other wise we really really wouldn't believe it. But I think they offer a wide variety of nice looks, which TV can be art, does need to have an appealing aesthetic to stay a float, because when it get's down to it, it's not just the showrunners/cast directors fault that they they can only cast certain looking people, it's the media's fault and viewers at home's fault too.

  13. Nice idea! (: - I could see it being Snow's mother too since they both relate to 'sleeping' stories.
