Merlin - Episode 5.09 - With All My Heart - Spoiler Hangman [COMPLETED]

Well done, the completed hangman is below. Colin is fantastic in the three roles, Emrys is not played for laughs like he normally is which brings far more gravitas and menace to part. While as Dolma, his comic side comes through, especially when conversing with Arthur.

Colin tackles three separate roles with aplomb; one of them lies to the King about a certain young knights welfare.

  2. Great to see another one. I can't wait to get more letters so the guessing can start.

  3. Good idea, alfons.

Glat you're doing another one of these, Sandi! :)

    IN OTHER NEWS:

Have you guys seen the new note on the CultTV Twitter handle?!?!?

    https://twitter.com/cultboxTV

    It says:

"MERLIN fans, look for a VERY BIG announcement on @CultBoxTV at midnight tonight... (IOur lips are sealed until then, we're afraid).

I was actually 99.9 % convinced that season 5 is going to be the final season. But with this announcement coming up, I don't think they would make such a big fuzz if it was just the sad news that series 5 is the last one and there also won't be any movies...

I still don't think there will be a season 6, but maybe they did get the green light for a movie project after all... mmmh. Let's see what midnight brings! :)

  4. Well it would not be completely unexpected. But why is the story not moving along then???

    ReplyDelete
  5. It will move along....in the final 20 minutes of the very last episode, as always :P

  6. Hmm, its young or youth for the y word. I'm going to go with "young something warlock". Too many options to have a go at any other words. I'll look forward to the morning update with my coffee break. :)

  8. I really hope that source is false and Merlin gets one last season to wrap things up PROPERLY and not out of nowhere. I will literally throw my dvds in the trash if Merlin ends like this.

  9. Someone suggested how the Big Magic Reveal might go in the very last episode:

Merlin: Arthur, I must tell you something. I have m...
    Arthur: *dies*

    :D

  10. I voted for "n" now... Don't really have a clue at the moment, brain fried over the weekend. ;)

  11. After a season of nothing but running through forests, they're going to reveal the secret in two final episodes and then never show it again? AAARRRGGHH. Surely the last season is always the best chance to take some creative risks, not just rehash the same storylines they've done a thousand times before. I'm sure everyone will agree we wanted a chance to see Merlin and Arthur's relationship really develop over time after the big reveal. They could have actually had some new stories to tell.

The writers did always say they only had a 5 season plan for the show, but what they've done so far this year doesn't exactly reek of planning. I can only guess one of the lead actors had had enough.

Either that, or you're just playing with us, and all is well.

  13. The stories in S5 could've been done in S4, and leave this series to the actual development of the Once and Future King, the magic reveal and its repercussions, Morgana's path to redemption (if there's in fact one), Gwen adjusting to being Queen, and so on....Oh well....too late now.

About the 5 year plan, most new shows have a long term plan, in case the show is successful. That doesn't mean that they can't adjust or extend the period of time of the show, and even change the premise if it suits the story or if there's too much discontent among the fans. But the people in charge in this show don't seem to acknowledge the faults in the scripts, hence they don't correct the many mistakes and waste the opportunity to make a show as good as, I dare say, Game of Thrones (or something of that quality), considering that they have a very talented cast, great directors, locations and better CGI than they had a few years back.

Like I read in other sites, I'll miss this show for what it could've been, my only hope now is for an ending that doesn't leave me trashing my tv.

  14. Is it sad that I laughed too hard about this? I don't want it to end like this, but it's very likely.

  15. It's never going to be like Game of Thrones - it targets a family audience, and probably aims younger than even Smallville did, for example. So I understand why they want self-contained adventures. Which would be fine, if every single adventure wasn't exactly the same. Sort of a live-action He-Man. But that's because the characters and the dynamics between them change so little they react to everything that happens in the same way every week.

But yes, I was really looking forward to an entire season of Arthur adjusting to Merlin's powers, and what that meant for his rule in Camelot, Merlin's position at the castle and obviously also their friendship. There would have been so much to explore and it could have been really entertaining. Lame that they were too chicken to try and pull it off.

  16. T seems a good choice! Okay, my updated guess:

    ***** t****** t**** ******t* ***** with ******; *** ** t*** **** to the **** about a **t**** young *****t* warlock.

  17. Great comment! Are sure you are not one of thw writers of the show?? ;)

  18. My brain is frazzled with the news. N is a popular letter. See where that gets us.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Lol, no, it isn't and I tell you what: If the guys from Monty Python were a) all still breathing and b) 40 years younger they would take the p*ss out of Merlin every single week. :D In fact, if Monty Python ever spoofed Merlin I think it would be exactly like the scene I described. ;)

  20. *checks current bank account status* Nope. :D

  21. All but one word correct so far ;)

    ReplyDelete
  22. ****n t****** t**** ******t* ***** with ******; one ** t*** **** to the King about a **t***n young knights w******.

I've gone back on the warlock for now. I think it must be possible to have a good guess at the word before young... gonna go make a coffee and have a ponder. If I think about this I don't have to think about other Merlin news.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Awesome! Thanks so much! :) Pretty sure its warlock, doesn't fit in with my updated guess with the letter N.

  24. ****n t****** t**** ******t* ***** with ******; One of them **** to the king about a **t***n young *n***t* w******

    Am I close?

  25. Ahh, veteran is wrong, but also where I put the T in there is wrong *ooops* I should have noticed yesterday but I'm so pushed for time on a Monday. I haven't even watched the dvd extras yet :o Just got coffee and am gonna go watch them now :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yep, all the words are correct.

    ReplyDelete
  27. One of them **** to the king about a certain young knights welfare.

    ReplyDelete
  28. one of them - goes? to the king about a certain young knights welfare.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Elyan through times ******t* ***** with dreams; one of them made to the king about a certain young knight's welfare.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ***a*at* - i think that's separate

    ReplyDelete
  31. :o All but one word correct :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. ****n t****** t**** separate ***** with a*****; one of them goes to the King about a certain
    young knights welfare.

I think the ***a*at* is either escalate or separate. I'm leaning towards separate...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ah, think I've got the second part now. First parts still tricky. Enjoy the extras, I think there's some good ones in there this time. I wish each episode was just 5 minutes longer for some of them!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Merlin tackles t**** separate ***** with a*****; one of them goes to the king about a certain young knights welfare

    ReplyDelete
  35. okay, I have brainache and this is a far as i've got;

Merlin tackles three separate ***** with a*****; one of them goes to the king about a certain young knights welfare

    ReplyDelete
  36. Can't be Merlin as there isn't enough letters. I agree tackles is probably the most likely. I've gone for a wild guess with ageing as that seems to be a popular solution to problems in Merlin! Its so close, we might only need one more letter to guess the rest!

    ReplyDelete
  37. darn it! I can't count, lol. I think ageing is a really good fit - so that would make it;

****n tackles three separate ***** with ageing; one of them goes to the king about a certain young knights welfare

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've gone with "****n tackles their separate duels with ageing" under the assumption both Merlin and Morgana do the ageing thing, but I can't think what the first word would then be so I suspect duels is probably wrong. I think its ****s as it seems like it should be a word ending in s after separate.

    ReplyDelete
  39. ****n tackles three separate magic with ageing;

    ReplyDelete
  40. Colin tackles three separate roles with aplumb;

    ReplyDelete
  41. Colin tackles three separate roles with a*****, one of them lies to the king about a certain young knights welfare

    ReplyDelete
  42. Colin tackles three separate faces with ageing; one of them goes to the king about a certain young knights welfare - any closer Sandi?

    ReplyDelete
  43. oh good thinking! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Merlin lies to the king??? Nah he would never do that ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  45. "Colin tackles three separate roles with aplomb; one of them lies to the king about a certain young knight's welfare."

    ReplyDelete
  46. I am so depressed thta Merlin has to disguise as Dolma so he can speak to Arthur about magic.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Thank you for this Colin Morgan hangman! I can't wait to see him play excellently his three roles!
