608 costumes have been destroyed after a fire rose in a truck transporting them.
However, it's not as bad as it may sound.
Sergio Ballo, the costumer, said that most of these costumes were used by extras. When asked by the production company if they could start filming again, he took the risk to say 'yes' because despite some changes that had to be done in the main actors' schedules, he knew places where he could get similar costumes, which will just be simplier that those they were using before the fire.
Season 2 of Borgia (12 episodes) will wrap within a few weeks and will air in Spring 2013 on Canal+. And the production company is already thinking about producing a third season. Season 2 takes place in 1494/1495 and season 3 could follow the Borgia family from 1496 to 1504.
Source for the fire.
Source for the prospect of a third season.
Otherwise, uh, while I'm talking about Canal+, season 1 of Homeland has been a big, big hit, starting very well and building up throughout the season. It broke some of Canal+'s ratings records on imported TV series : 1.40 million viewers / 24.3% of subscribers have been watching the first airing of episodes 1.11 & 1.12 on Thursday, October 11 at 9pm, better than the records set by 24, Desperate Housewives, Dexter or The Shield. Canal+ has announced that they won't wait until September 2013 to air season 2, those 12 new episodes will air in Spring 2013 (probably after the end of their broadcast of Dexter season 7).
