  1. In case anyone is curious, TbtN says they will probably be out around 1 (EST).

  2. I think the ratings for these day will be a bit atypical, after all it was a diferent day...

  3. Wow, Castle 2.7 with almost 12 million viewers. Awesome! :)

  4. Castle is 2.7? This can't be true.

  5. Holy shit, Castle's viewers! That's awesome. And yay for Revolution, too!

  6. Castle leads in total viewership for its hour. That's what matters and will keep it afloat for seasons to come.

  7. Castle got almost 12 million viewers and 2.7 in demo...at least there's one positive thing that came out of Sandy

  8. Considering major states like New York were having power outages and evacuations the numbers for ABC and NBC are pretty great. Guess it could be too that non-affected people were watching ABC and NBC more because everything else was repeats though.

  9. As much as I would love for these numbers to stick, they won't. Almost all of the prime-time shows were preempted in some of the most important markets on the East Coast (New York, Philadelphia, DC) and the people who were watching the networks for the Hurricane Sandy news were also counted in these ratings. The numbers will most probably be adjusted down later today.

  10. Too early to celibrate, Castle's fans. This number will be adjusted down in a huge way. Don't get too frustrated if it hits below 2.0

    ReplyDelete
  11. Actually its very likely it wont hit below 2.5 Don't forget a lot of shows were pre-empted and such, H50 which would normally air in the same slot, didn't, that probably accounts for some of it.

Not to say that next week ratings will probably hit 2.2-ish again instead.

  12. As far as I know, Castle was also preemted in NY, Boston and Baltimore, no? That means people living in those areas watched the hurricane coverage instead of Castle. Right? Which means that if we seperate those who actually watched Castle from those who watched news coverage, we'll get a massive drop in ratings. And I doubt it will be merely 0.2. I mean, cmon - it's ny, baltimore, boston. It's going to be much more than that,

  13. I do not think it's the final ratings.

  14. i know that ratings can be wrong but last nights castle was spectacular one of the best it deserves at least 15,000000

  15. I guess we'll see, would be nice to see someone from spoilertv clarify wether these are final ratings or not.

  16. I think they are, when they say full tables posted the numbers don´t tend to change...
Anyway, like I said before, I think this wasn´t a typical monday, there wasn´t Hawai 5, wich may have shaked things a bit.
But I´m glad with Castle´s results:)
I don´t understand how ratings work, I mean, Castle´s had about 3.6 millions viewers more than Revolution...

  17. Oh, ok. I thought ABC East wasn't actually broadcasting Castle, and was broadcasting the news about Sandy. Which makes the ratings completely wrong.

Anyway, now I know it's the final ratings, it's really great for Castle :o

I dont watch it, but I'm glad a series tv show still can make good ratings :-)

  18. castleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  19. The Voice got 5!!! That's is awesome!

  20. They are wrong. And it's not because of lack of competition. It's because the ratings count Castle's and the news coverage viewers as one. Once they're separated and calculated anew, the final number will be lower. All the shows will be adjusted down. It's just a question of for how much.

    ReplyDelete
  21. WTH? Castle's numbers are a great spike from the past few weeks. And the entire east coast was without power? O_O

  22. Castle rules the day and the hour. Regardless of preempted tv, lack of showings or the weather...Castle is King! Castle Fandom will keep this show afloat as long as we possibly can. Ratings in my opinion are never completely accurate especially since they do not take in account all access points or locations. Castle is huge on the international front.

  23. the adjustments were to be expected, still good numbers for everyone though.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Castle and Revolution still did great, even with the adjusted numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Damn; I was hoping the last update was final. Castle is adjusted down. :(

    ReplyDelete
  26. OMG. why do you hate Castle so much? Just let us be happy with our 2.2

    ReplyDelete
  27. Very OK. especially if you take in account all those castle fans in the affected areas:)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Too bad they don't count the number of fans who lives outside of the US.

    ReplyDelete
  29. They were adjusted down. Although, logically, this is still good because it excludes all of the stations that aired news coverage instead of Castle (and logically also anybody whose power was out), and they'd likely have at least some significant number who would've watched had they been given the chance. So it's still a winning number, IMO.

  30. Yeah. I'd pay ABC just to watch Castle :P

    ReplyDelete
  31. /indeed I expected only a 0.2/0.3 downwards adjustment tho, but at least it didnt go below 2.0 as some other ppl seemed to think. 2.2 is good considering all those who werent able to tune in.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, I´d be one to count, as I live in Europe:)
Anyway, those are good numbers, still about 3 million more viewers than Revolution...still the most watched scripted show in its hour:)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Castle was shown on ABC's digital channels, so these ratings aren't a mix of people watching the news in place of Castle...these are people watching Castle. Considering that the huge tri-state area market was largely cut off from cable/internet barring a good couple of million of Castle fans from even watching at all, almost 11 million live viewers is pretty fantastic. Had the tri-state area and its surrounding regions also affected by power outages had been able to watch last night, that number could very well be at 13 million. ABC is going to be quite pleased with these numbers.

  34. 100% agree with you Martina. I live in New Zealand and come home from work every Tuesday (we are something like 20 hours ahead of the US) to watch Castle online. Why not include these? There are lots of us. BTW Stana Katic DESERVES and Emmy. That chick is seriously AMAZING!!!! WOW
