I found Mrs. Haversford's act of turning Annie over to the brute appalling! I loved how Corcoran threatened her life when he found out she lied to him about Annie's whereabouts.
This show is much better than I thought it would be. I wrote it off as a period piece procedural but it's definitely more than that and much more twisted as well. - People seem to love lying to Kevin. Everyone does it way too often. - I knew Corcoran would be mad at Haverford but I was surprised at how vicious his confrontation with her was. - Elizabeth may be selfish and snobbish but Eva is a snake and Kevin shouldn't trust her either. - I knew Robert was shifty but moving in on Elizabeth seems like it's going to lead to more duplicitous behavior from him than usual. - Maguire really sucks for keeping the info about the ledger from Kevin. Even Kevin's friends seem to lie and keep secrets from him. - Congrats to the mother to be. My one wish for her is to stop being a skittish, paranoid, shut in. - Also, I kind of love the fact that one of the main characters on this show is an abused, former child prostitute who has killed two people. That's just really messed up. It's Dexter-level messed up and it's pretty ballsy for a basic cable network.
I was actually a little surprised that Kevin went so far as to threaten her. I didn't think he'd take it that far but it sure was effective. Elizabeth was still scared out of her mind by the end of the episode.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
